A 33-year-old man has been charged with murder after allegedly killing his three-year-old son by locking him in a washing machine and turning it on. Christophe Champenois, from Meaux, near Paris, allegedly stripped Bastien naked and shut him in the machine to punish him for a prank at nursery school – throwing a classmate’s drawing down a toilet. He is then said to have run the cold cycle wash for a few minutes at their house, in the village of Germigny-l’Eveque.

Glendale, CA— A male baby-sitter from Alhambra has been arrested and charged with six felony counts of lewd acts on a child, felony sodomy of a child under the age of ten and felony continuous sex abuse of a child. Jordan Liu, 19, had been employed though SitterCity.com to care for a 8-year-old boy and his 3-year-old brother from March 1 to November 11th. His profile stated that he is a Pasadena City college student with seven years of experience.

ATLANTA, Ga. – Police say a small child was killed Monday at the hands of her own mother. Atlanta police detectives say the mother threw one of her children out a window in their home before stabbing her 4-year-old daughter to death. The woman, who has not been identified, was shot and killed by police who broke into the home. Officers say when they broke down the door of the home, the woman was sitting in a chair repeatedly stabbing her daughter and she refused to put down the knife. That’s when police shot and killed her.

Joran Van Der Sloot, the man suspected of killing Natalee Holloway, filed a $10 million lawsuit today against Chilean and Peruvian authorities, as well as Ricardo Flores, the father of his second alleged murder victim. Van Der Sloot’s lawsuit says that his human rights were violated while he was investigated for the murder of Stephany Flores.

CLEVELAND – An Ohio third-grader who weighs more than 200 pounds has been taken from his family and placed into foster care after county social workers said his mother wasn’t doing enough to control his weight. A toddler was beaten to death as his family prepared to celebrate his fourth birthday. Christopher Valdez was found dead in his Chicago home on Friday, shortly before his party, with cake and presents, was supposed to begin. ‘The boy’s uncle told 7 News: ‘My niece’s boyfriend beat the baby to death, and I don’t know exactly what happened. I’ve never even met the man.’ Police believe the boy, who died form ‘multiple blunt trauma’ had been dead for several hours before emergency crews found him on Friday.

It’s a place for fun and exercise for families, but what happened to a 13-year-old boy at a popular Lansing recreational facility is something you’d never expect. The boy’s parents shared their son’s story, but they chose to hide their identities to help protect their son. They wanted to tell his story in hopes of bringing about change. Last March a Lansing mother dropped off her 13-year-old son at the Westside YMCA. He was going swimming. When she returned to pick him up, something was wrong.
