NEW YORK — The parents of a murder victim are suing Facebook after a paramedic pleaded guilty to photographing their daughter’s corpse and posting the image to the social networking site, according to court documents. Caroline Wimmer, 26, was found by her parents, Ronald and Martha, after she was strangled with a hair-dryer cord in March 2009 in Staten Island, New York.

Fourteen-year-old Patrick abused a child – even though he is still a child. He is not unique. Shockingly, more than half of those who abuse children are teens or even younger. Patrick’s story is tragic. His violent father left when he was just seven. Since then his role models have been the steady stream of abusive boyfriends who beat up his often inebriated mother and abused both him and his younger half-sister. His victims have been fellow pupils at school.

Two parents are facing felony child abuse charges after using drywall to seal their three young daughters in a room covered with feces and urine. John Michael Robey, 33, and Christina Dawn Moore, 26, were charged with three counts of felony child abuse and neglect. They are being held at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Jail.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. –A man was charged with first-degree attempted murder Sunday afternoon after police say he attacked a 2-year-old girl in her hospital bed. Jacob Andrew Minton, 26, of Millers Creek, was arrested around 1 p.m. Officers arrested Minton after police said he attacked a 2-year-old girl named Madison at Brenner Children’s Hospital around 7:30 a.m.

The last suspect connected to the gang rape of an 11-year-old girl earlier this month was arrested Monday by investigators, who said an older girl lured the victim to a Moreno Valley park restroom where the crime took place. Michael Sykes, 19, was arrested Monday morning at a home in Moreno Valley. A known gang member, Sykes was the only adult investigators believe participated in the March 10 rape of the girl. The other seven arrested are juveniles.

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A carnival worker was arrested in Kissimmee on suspicion of inappropriately touching an 8-year-old girl on a ride.Justin Wood, 35, of Cocoa, was arrested on a charge of lewd and lascivious molestation.

AURORA, Colorado — A school policeman accused of coercing a runaway girl to take nude photos of herself was arrested on Monday, becoming the city’s second officer to face sex charges in four months. Michael Mangino, 50, is facing two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor along with charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and official misconduct.

GARFIELD, Ark. — Thomas Carr has been charged with two counts of rape, two counts of producing, directing or promoting a sexual performance by a child and one count of bestiality.”It was shocking, and out of the three years I’ve been at the sheriff’s office, I’ve never dealt with anything like this, nor have I heard of anything like this in the details of this case,” said Benton County Sheriff’s Office investigator Kenneth Paul.

Talent, Oregon – Valery Lee Podsobinski, a 45-year-old Oregon woman was jailed after she allegedly abused her two children with kitchen utensils and forced them to eat marijuana and hallucinogenic mushrooms. According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation began on January 31st after officers received an anonymous tip stating that the children, who’s ages were not released, were being physically and mentally abused by Podsobinski.

Detroit, Michigan – Andrea Angel Ziza, a 28-year-old St. Clair woman was jailed Saturday after she allegedly streamed an elicit video of herself and her 4-year-old daughter to a man she met online. She then allegedly offered her daughter to the man. According to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, the FBI received a tip from a man who stated that he had met Ziza through an online dating website, and that she reportedly sent him a live video of herself and her daughter in “compromising positions.” The man also stated that she offered her daughter to him in a sexual manner.

Kingman, AZ — A registered sex offender crawled through a bathroom window and made his way to the bedroom of a sleeping 8-year-old girl. He took her from her bed and out the window. Justin Dean Laidlaw, 22, is no stranger to being convicted of sex crimes. He previously served 2.5 years in prison for sexual assault of a 9-year-old girl. Fall of 2010, Laidlaw was sentenced to 90 days in jail for attacking two women at a local park.

Pennsylvania–A Harrisburg man already jailed in November for raping a young girl has now been charged with 38 counts of Possession of Child Pornography and 38 counts of Criminal Use of Communication Facility. Joseph Strickland, 23, was originally taken into custody late last year after he borrowed his personal camera to someone who subsequently uncovered a video of the suspect raping a girl.
