California — Police in Ontario are asking for help finding a man suspected of kidnapping a girl he met on the Internet. The girl, who had been reported missing earlier in the day, was found Tuesday night in the 500 block of South Palm Avenue. However, the suspect, Jose Perez — who is also known as Gilberto Huelitl — got away, Ontario police said in a news release.

BOLIVAR, Missouri — A 23-year old man is behind bars accused of plotting to open fire inside a movie theater during a screening of the new “Twilight” film. Blaec Lammers of Bolivar was charged Friday with three felony counts, including making a terrorist threat and armed criminal action. Authorities in Bolivar, Mo., have charged a man they say was planning to go on a shooting spree this weekend at a movie theater screening of the new “Twilight” film.

Police investigating historic child sex allegations in a scandal-hit diocese arrested a retired Church of England bishop today. Peter Ball, 80, was arrested at his home in Langport, Somerset, on suspicion of eight sex offenses against eight boys and young men aged between 12 and their early twenties in the late Eighties and Nineties, sources said. The offenses are alleged to have taken place in East Sussex and elsewhere within the diocese of Chichester.

A ‘devious’ internet paedophile has been jailed for 14 years for raping a 12 -year-old girl after grooming her on a social networking site. Father of four, Gary Cooper, 47, who called himself ‘Chantelle’ to befriend his victim, abducted and raped her twice days after making contact with her. The girls’ ordeal was described as wreaking ‘incalculable psychological damage’. Cooper joined the social network Tagged.com and began grooming the schoolgirl. He told her she was ‘gorgeous’ and having got her phone number claimed to be the fictitious girls’ father, confessing he found her attractive.

NEWBURYPORT, Mass. — A teen mother is being held without bail after she was accused of poisoning the child of another young mother. A home for pregnant and parenting teens on Low Street in Newburyport was the scene of the crime, according to police. “It’s alleged that a juvenile female with a young child that was at the establishment had taken a substance and added it to the formula of another female’s child out there,” said Thomas Howard, city marshal of the Newburyport Police Department. The sick child was rushed to Anna Jaques Hospital where the little boy was treated and released, but the teenage suspect detectives were looking for was nowhere to be found.

INGLEWOOD — A man accused of sexually assaulting a mentally disabled teenager on an MTA bus pleaded not guilty Wednesday. Kerry Trotter, 20, is charged with one count each of forcible rape and rape of an incompetent person and two counts of sexual penetration by a foreign object in connection to the Nov. 7 incident. Authorities describe Trotter as a parolee and a transient who had previously been investigated on suspicion of sexual assault.

MIAMI, Fla. — Police are investigating the deaths of a 29-year-old woman and her two young daughters found dead inside a closet at their home near Miami. Police were called after a neighbor smelled an foul odor and went inside the house to find its source. She found the bodies of Gladys Machado as well as her daughters, 4-year-old Daniela Patrino and 8-year-old Julia Padrino.

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Marshals Service added a convicted child predator to its 15 Most Wanted fugitive list today. Clyde Hall Jr., a career sex offender, who is wanted in the Northern District of New York for violation of federal supervised release, failed to report to a halfway house in New York after serving a 25-month prison sentence for violations of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act at the Butner Federal Correctional Institute in North Carolina. Hall has a violent and abusive criminal history dating back to 1985 with prior convictions for assault and multiple sex offenses. He is clinically diagnosed as a sociopathic psychosexual career sex offender and the State of New York has labeled him a Tier III sex offender, its most dangerous sex offender classification.
