LAS VEGAS – A Saudi Air Force sergeant in the United States for training has been arrested on child sexual assault charges over accusations he raped a 13-year-old boy in a Las Vegas hotel, and bail was set on Friday at just over $1.2 million, authorities said. Mazen Alotaibi is accused of raping the boy on New Year’s Eve at the Circus Circus hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, where both Alotaibi and the boy were guests, according to a criminal complaint.

A 32-year-old man was on Friday imprisoned for four years and three months for aggravated rape and the sexual assault of a child. The man has in recent years been employed at several preschools in Malmö in southern Sweden, where the attacks are reported to have occurred. The man stood accused of having assaulted four children, including one charge of having raped a four-year-old girl.

KALAMAZOO, MI – Kalamazoo Public Safety is asking for information on the whereabouts of a suspected child abuser. On Wednesday, January 16, Public Safety officers responded to Bronson Hospital on a report of child abuse. Doctors at the hospital were treating a 2-year-old child with injuries consistent with child abuse, including blunt force trauma to his abdomen and multiple bruises on his body.

TULSA – A Tulsa man who court documents say sexually abused a young girl for nearly five years turned himself into authorities Thursday. According to court documents, Daniel Cortez-Lazcano abused the girl between 2007 and 2012. Court documents show the abuse began when the girl was 5 years old.

Bishop Larry Trotter of the Sweet Holly Spirit Church caused uproar on Twitter after sharing the intimate snap with his fans on the popular photo-sharing site. In the picture, Trotter and his granddaughter smile for the camera while covered in bubbles form the neck down. It is not clear whether they are naked.

A couple has been charged with child abuse after they allegedly attempted to exorcise their 10-year-old daughter, who they thought was a witch. The pair, from the Democratic Republic of Congo, were charged on Friday in Boraas, in the west of Sweden. Daniel Larson, a prosecutor, said the couple ‘think their daughter is a witch and reject the accusation’ of abuse, according to the Telegraph.

An ROTC teacher was arrested for sexual abuse. Retired Sgt. Maj. Martin Dale Kirby, 44, was arrested on Monday on charges of sexual abuse dating back to September 2010. Kirby teaches three level of Junior ROTC at George Washington High School in Charleston, West Virginia.
