WINONA, Minn. – For the fourth time in 12 years, a baby has been found floating in the Mississippi River. Officials in Winona County recovered a body on Monday. In November of 1999, a little girl was found near Red Wing. Then a boy, believed to be that baby’s brother, was discovered near Frontenac in 2003.

CANYON COUNTRY, CA — The mother of a boy molested by a registered sex offender in Canyon Country is upset after she says the state failed to inform her that her son’s attacker was released from prison. Caroline Mason says she received several frantic calls on Tuesday from neighbors who spotted 50-year-old Greggory Babb roaming the streets near her home, the Santa Clarita Valley Signal is reporting.

Controversy has exploded over “Caylee’s Fund,” the newly founded foundation started by George and Cindy Anthony. The Anthony’s, who are the grandparents of slain Florida toddler Caylee Anthony, have started the foundation in their granddaughter’s name just weeks after their daughter, Casey Anthony, was acquitted by a Florida jury on charges that she murdered the 2-year-old child and tossed her body in a heavily wooded swamp just steps from the Anthony’s home.

HEBER CITY — The co-founder of a nonprofit group that helps women and children in Third World villages, pleaded guilty Wednesday to sexually abusing children. Lon Harvey Kennard Sr., 68, of Heber City, pleaded guilty to three first-degree felony counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child.

Police have arrested a private elementary school principal on seven counts of child molestation dating back 15 years. Police Chief Christopher Boyd says Robert Adams was arrested Wednesday morning at his Folsom home. He says Adams suffered a medical incident and was taken to a hospital.

SAN ANTONIO — A Texas couple has been sentenced to prison for causing massive brain injury to their roommate’s 2-year-old daughter, officials said. Hermes Vasquez, 26, received 35 years in prison as part of a plea agreement and his estranged wife, Lyzette Vasquez, 22, was sentenced to 20 years, the San Antonio Express-News reported Tuesday.

WARREN, MI (WXYZ) – A 42-year-old woman is under arrest after allegedly molesting a young boy she was supposed to be caring for till his Mother returned home.

A newly released police report shows the extent of child sexual abuse perpetrated against the three women of the piano group The 5 Browns went far beyond the three counts their father, Keith Brown, went to prison for. The report and court documents detail abuses that happened over a span of at least eight years, hundreds of times for at least one of the daughters, and across state lines. Keith Brown exchanged emails about the abuse with his daughters before they went to police, the report stated.

A woman convicted in July of murdering her 16-month-old daughter is pregnant with another child. The fact that Jennifer Hannah is pregnant and married were surprises revealed Friday at a sentencing hearing in Davidson County Criminal Court. Hannah’s own attorney, Patrick McNally, did not know.

MOUNT CLEMENS, MI- A 28-year-old Macomb County man was being held Tuesday on a $1 million bond on charges that he sexually assaulted and impregnated a girlfriend’s 11-year-old daughter. Trevaun Brooks was arraigned in Mount Clemens District Court on first-degree and second-degree criminal sexual conduct charges.

BANNING, CA — Police say a 2-year-old has been found in a closet at the scene of a triple homicide in Banning. Police say three bodies, two of them the child’s parents, were discovered round noon at a home on the corner of Phillips and Williams streets.
