Anthony Alvarez, a 40-year-old former assistant principal at Arvada High School, was arrested after his wife discovered sexually explicit messages he exchanged with a 15-year-old high school student on Facebook and forced her husband to turn himself in, according to the Arvada police arrest affidavit. Alvarez was arrested on charges of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust.

A three-year-old girl was allegedly raped before being murdered by an 18-year-old man in Goregaon late Friday evening. According to the police, when the child started crying for help, the accused allegedly smashed her head with a stone. She died in hospital the next day (Saturday).

A Colorado mom is in hot water with cops after leaving her toddler in a hot car – while she went to a tanning bed.
Imene Nouis, 31, was cited for child abuse on Thursday after cops removed her toddler from her car in Parker, Colorado.

A man who allegedly told his girlfriend to spank her daughter until “she (welts) up or bleeds” is being held on bond for child abuse. Rodney Duane Ropp, 43, and Dalana Allene Minor, 34, both of Copan, are being charged with child abuse by injury following the alleged incident. According to a probable cause affidavit, Copan Middle School officials called the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on Sept. 1 to report that a student wanted to speak with a deputy.

Flagler, FL- Teresa Martone, a 35-year-old Florida woman was jailed after deputies allegedly discovered wall to wall filth, three children and 32 animals living inside her home. According to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to Martone’s residence after receiving a report that conditions inside the home were unsuitable for children.

Laporte, IN – Jackie Koker, a 44-year-old Indiana man who was charged late last month for having sex with a pit bull and then asking a 5-year-old girl to join him in the adventure, is facing a new charge this week.  According to police, Koker and 40-year-old girlfriend, Rebecca Bermudez, were jailed July 22 after they allegedly engaged in sex acts with a pit bull. The couple then reportedly invited a 5-year-old girl to join them in the bestiality.

Springfield babysitter Jennifer Bernal was convicted Thursday of murdering 18-month-old Anthony Joseph Romanotto in 2008. A jury of eight women and four men deliberated for about four hours before reaching its verdict, which concluded an almost two-week-long trial filled with medical testimony. A MAN accused of forcing his three young grandsons to hike 30km in 40C heat at the Grand Canyon and denying them food and water has been charged with child abuse. The boys, aged 12, 9 and 8, told investigators that they had been hit, pushed, choked, pinched and squeezed during trips on a popular trail at the canyon’s South Rim last month.
