Donald Thomas Bayne faces up to life in prison if convicted of torturing a baby. The 23-year-old Bayne was arraigned Monday afternoon on that count and first-degree child abuse, a 15-year felony, for allegedly punching his girlfriend’s 9-month-old daughter in the head, causing skull fractures and internal injuries.  Bayne, of 403 Peach, was charged as a second-time habitual offender, which could add 50 percent to his maximum prison sentence. MT. MORRIS, Michigan– A husband and wife were charged this week with possessing hundreds of images of child pornography, including photos that involved their 6-month-old daughter, Police Chief Keith Becker said today. The Mt. Morris couple was arraigned Tuesday in Genesee District Court, Becker said. Daniel A. Hall, 25, was charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography and using a computer in the commission of a crime, according to court records. LONG ISLAND, NY — A pediatrician is facing federal charges of sexually abusing his young female patients and then filing fraudulent insurance claims in their name, prosecutors said on Wednesday. Evidence in the case against Dr. Rakesh Punn, 53, includes a “how-to” guide on molestation he was writing on his computer which incorporated passages from the Kama Sutra, the ancient Indian sex treatise, prosecutors said.  READ MORE HERE

CERES—An 18-year-old pregnant teen was held captive and beaten for nine days, Ceres Police say. The suspects were arrested the three suspects, one of whom was the victim’s boyfriend, Tuesday. The victim’s boyfriend, 21-year-old Richard Garibay, found a message on the woman’s phone that he didn’t like on Jan. 27. Mom ‘Slit Her Baby’s Throat’ – Found Holding Blood-Soaked 9-Month-Old In Middle Of Woods

A mother allegedly slashed her nine-month-old baby’s throat just months after telling a pastor she could be possessed and might hurt the girl. Bradie Simpson, 39, of Camdenton, Missouri, was found in woods 225ft from her home as she held the baby covered in blood with a neck wound. It comes months after the body of her ex-boyfriend, the baby’s father, was found in the same woods last September, reported ABC affiliate KSPR. A 12-year-old girl who shot her father dead while he was sleeping acted in self defense after years of sexual abuse, a jury has found. The girl from Katy, Texas grabbed Mark Nelson’s gun from under his mattress and shot the 38-year-old in the back of the head in April 2009. A teenage girl was found hanged after a blunder by her barrister caused the collapse of the rape trial of a man who abused her from the age of 13. Prosecutor David Jones breached strict legal guidelines on witness contact when he discussed the case of 16-year-old karate star Dana Baker with her at his house. NEW YORK — A teacher’s aide is behind bars after allegedly videotaped himself spanking one naked child and fondling another in a public school classroom. Taleek Brooks, 40, was arrested after federal agents discovered the videos on a computer seized last month from his home during a child porn investigation. JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – A teenage girl who is accused of stabbing, strangling and slitting the throat of a 9-year old neighbor girl wrote in her journal on the night of the killing that it was an “ahmazing” and “pretty enjoyable” experience. The words written by Alyssa Bustamante were read aloud in court Monday as part of a sentencing hearing in the October 2009 murder of her neighbor, Elizabeth Olten. CHATSWORTH, CA– Police arrested an elementary school janitor last Monday on suspicion of child molestation. The mother of the unidentified victim reported there had been inappropriate contact between her child and a janitor at Germain Elementary School on Friday, according to police.
