LOUISVILLE, KY– A Louisville woman was arrested yesterday for allegedly punching her 10-year-old son in the face during her anger management class. And it’s not the first time she’s been in the news. Police say it happened on Feb. 4. 30-year-old Misty Lawson was taking the class when she allegedly punched the child several times in his face and body area.  A counselor witnessed the incident and reported it to the police and Child Protective Services. Police say there may be more victims

WESTMINSTER — Police and prosecutors are seeking the public’s help identifying potential additional victims of a former high school basketball coach, charged with having an unlawful sexual relationship with a student beginning when she was 14 years old. John Tran Nguyen, 21, of Fountain Valley, is charged with one felony count of unlawful sexual intercourse and one misdemeanor count of domestic violence battery. READ MORE HERE

LOS ANGELES — Another Los Angeles Unified School District teacher has been accused of sexually molesting children. Paul William Chapel, 50, of Chatsworth was a former third-grade teacher at Telfair Elementary School in Pacoima. LA CRESCENTA, CA– A 15-year-old boy intentionally jumped to his death Friday afternoon at Crescenta Valley High School in full view of other students, sheriff’s officials said. The student — identified as Crescenta Valley High sophomore Drew Ferraro — climbed a building on campus and got a running start before jumping off a ledge during the school’s lunch hour, Sheriff’s Lt. A mother who sold her two daughters to a paedophile for $30,000 has been caught after two years on the run. Jeanifer Lee Segrest was arrested at her home after police received a tip following her appearance on the TV show ‘America’s Most Wanted.’ The 38-year-old is alleged to have sold her daughters, then aged five and six, to a known pedophile and allowed them to be repeatedly molested. A teenage mum was caught on a hidden camera stuffing cotton wool from a soft toy down her child’s throat and attempting to smother her.Chevonne Youngineer was under suspicion of harming her child because she said her child frequently stopped breathing or starts chocking.When the 17 year old brought her daughter to hospital after another near death incident she was placed in a room with a hidden CCTV camera. A 14-year-old who had recently told classmates he was depressed shot himself in the face in a New Hampshire elementary school cafeteria filled with dozens of students eating lunch, officials said Friday. The teen, identified by a relative and fellow students as Hunter Mack, was hospitalized after shooting himself around 11 a.m. at Walpole Elementary School in southwestern New Hampshire. ILLINOIS–1 in 5 children in Illinois lived in poverty in 2010. It’s just one of several startling statistics revealed Thursday morning. “Illinois Kids Count 2012” released their annual report today in eight communities across Illinois. In the Quad Cities, child advocates gathered at P&J Tender Care in Rock Island to bring awareness to our children, their challenges, and what changes need to be made. The report shows some important information on the health and well-being of kids and their families. EDWARD CLAIRE REISCH

Edward Claire Reisch is wanted for allegedly sexually abusing a minor female relative who was at his home over the Thanksgiving holiday in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1999. On November 27, 1999, a local arrest warrant was issued for Reisch by the District Court of Maryland for Baltimore City charging Reisch with child abuse, sexual assault, and sodomy.
