An Atlanta man who repeatedly raped his stepdaughter and forced her into prostitution will spend the rest of his life in prison, a judge decided Monday.

James Howard Johnson, 49, was convicted of 17 felony counts stemming from his abuse of the child, which began when she was 7 years old, according to the Fulton County District Attorney’s office.

The list of charges against Mr. Johnson includes rape, statutory rape, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated child molestation, pimping and pandering, and enticing a child for indecent purposes as well as furnishing alcohol to persons under 21, officials said.

ST. PAUL, Minn.– St. Paul police confirm that a Columbia Heights man is in jail for the alleged rape of a 4 year-old girl.

The 29 year-old man in custody is the boyfriend of a woman who was taking care of the child.

The girl’s mother dropped her off at the friend’s home in the 200 block of Wilken Street, as the women often take turns caring for each other’s children.

Lawmakers blasted Craigslist at a hearing Wednesday on domestic sex trafficking, arguing that the site, and more generally the Internet, have exacerbated the problem of child prostitution.

“Websites escape liability when an ad on their site results in [a child’s] rape, prostitution and even death,” said Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.), a witness at the House Judiciary Crime Subcommittee hearing.

A Jackson man charged with raping a 5-year-old girl more than six years after the incident pleaded guilty today to two counts of child rape and has been sentenced to 20 years without possibility of parole, according to a court officials. Jackson police charged Darius Amontee Cole, 20, with rape of a child after DNA evidence matched him to the rape, police have said.

EDMOND — The fifth annual Kelsey Briggs Run Against Child Abuse will be Saturday at Stars and Stripes Park at Lake Hefner in Oklahoma City. This year the run includes a half-marathon (13 miles) and a 5K on a sanctioned track.

Registration begins at 6 a.m. and the run will start at 7 a.m. Cash prizes will be given for top male and female winners. Medals will be given to the top three runners in each age group. ORLANDO, Fla. — The death of a 7-month-old boy has been ruled a homicide and his father, Keith Skinner, has been arrested and charged with his murder. Autopsy results released Tuesday by the Orange-Osceola Medical Examiner state Triumph Alexander Skinner’s manner of death as homicide. When the little boy was brought to the hospital, doctor’s noted he had suffered a perforated bowel and a severely fractured skull. They also added he had multiple fractured ribs in various stages of healing. He would die while in surgery.

Crescent, Oklahoma — The kid to the left is Jacob Jones. He’s a 12-year-old suffering from a few characteristics that make him classic bully-bait. He’s fat, he’s autistic and instead of hipster shirts, his mom dresses him up like a Nintendo billboard. Back in August, Jacob was assaulted by two boys at Crescent Middle School during recess while a third boy filmed it. The video was posted to Youtube where Jacob’s mother eventually found it and notified police. The video shows Jacob walking towards the three boys when one of them makes a half-assed attempt to kick him.

Greensburg, Ind. — Last Thursday, 15-year-old Billy (William) Lucas, was found hanging inside his family’s barn. His suicide is being attributed to reports of bullying even though the suicide note he left did not refer to being bullied or blame anyone in particular for his decision. Lucas was a student at Greensburg Community High School and reportedly a constant source of bullying since the fourth grade. In particular, remarks made about him being a “fag” and questioning his sexual orientation.

WESTMINSTER, Calif. — An Orange County after-school aide is accused of using a cell phone to send nude pictures of himself to underage boys in order to lure them into sexual encounters, according to prosecutors.

Miguel Antonio Mendoza, a part-time aide at Villa Park Elementary School, has been charged with several felonies, including lewd acts on a child under 14 and possession and distribution of child pornography.

Kemp, TX – According to police, 23-year-old Tyler Sides spent a good part of the day Sunday getting shit-faced and acting like an ass. Like most fools who can’t handle their liquor, Tyler reportedly became belligerent and argumentative. Police also say that on several occasions throughout the day, Tyler supposedly spit on his mother. Gainesville, FL – A 13-year-old girl was asleep in her bedroom at her grandmother’s home early Monday morning when her grandmother reportedly opened the bedroom door and said, “You have a visitor,” before allowing an inebriated 36-year-old Kendrick Johnson into the room. Fort Myers, FL – On September 9th, police received a 911 call reporting that two children had been abandoned on the side of the road by their nanny.
