BEND, Ore. (AP) – A Bend man faces 219 child pornography and sex abuse charges in an investigation that began with police in Port Orford on the Oregon Coast.

David Anthony Windham was being held on $5.3 million bail Saturday at the Deschutes County Jail in Bend.

A Deschutes County registered sex offender has been charged with more than 200 new counts of criminal charges involving child sex abuse after an investigation in Port Orford.

David Windham, 43, of Bend, was charged last week with 180 counts of encouraging child sex abuse, 31 counts of using a child in a display of sexual exploitation, and eight counts of sexual abuse in the first degree. Windham is lodged in the Deschutes County Jail on $5.3 million bail, according to Curry County Sheriff John Bishop.

The judge, who was not identified, told a state trooper “he would sign a criminal arrest warrant” when he denied the search warrant application, the report said.

FORT WORTH — Toxicology tests on a 2-year-old boy hospitalized Sunday for seizures revealed that he had amphetamines and methamphetamines in his system, according to a Fort Worth police report.

The crimes against children unit is investigating.

The boy was taken by ambulance to the Cook Children?s Medical Center emergency room Sunday morning, according to a police report. His mother said her son “had got into something” and was having seizures.

New York (CNN) — The only picture Donna Green ever had of her son, Raymond, was in her mind.

“I don’t have a picture of him. I never had a picture,” Green says about the fair-skinned baby boy snatched 31 years ago from her home in Atlanta, Georgia.

That changed last month when Green had a chance meeting with Diana Trepkov, a certified forensic artist. Both women had traveled to Wilmington, North Carolina, to attend a conference hosted by the CUE Center for Missing Persons.

SPRING – Alexandria Lowitzer seems to have vanished without a trace.

No phone calls, no text messages, no good-bye letter to indicate she was upset and wanted to get away from things. No obvious reason, anyway, for her to be upset.

The last time anyone saw the 16-year-old teen from Spring, she was getting off the school bus April 26, only a few feet from her home on Low Ridge Road.

STOCKTON — In a surprise move Melissa Huckaby pleaded guilty Monday to the murder of 8-year-old Sandra Cantu.

Huckaby pleaded guilty to murder with a special circumstance of kidnapping. All other charges against her in the case were dropped.

Albuquerque, NM – Investigators are calling it one of the worst cases of abuse they have ever seen. A 4-month-old baby girl is clinging to life in critical condition thanks to the numerous injuries inflicted upon her by her mother, 29-year-old Angela Meza.

The child, a twin, was taken to Presybeterian Hospital Wednesday, and was found to be broken all over. She was suffering from severe abusive head trauma and several rib and leg fractures. Doctors say she is blind and may never walk. In an interview with Meza’s 5-year-old son, investigators learned the child witnessed his mother repeatedly hitting and choking his baby sister.

EAST PIKELAND — Two Stowe men were arrested on rape charges Thursday after they allegedly lured a 14-year-old Linfield girl to The French Creek Inn and raped her on Wednesday.

Police arrested William Parker, 33, and Matthew Dise, 20, both of the 500 block of Glasgow Street in Stowe, and charged them with felony rape, statutory sexual assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors, selling or furnishing liquor or malt or brewed beverages to minors, luring a child into a motor vehicle and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Andreson had a ‘deviant and perverted interest’ in child pornography

A former girls’ football team coach has been jailed for six years for spiking a girl’s drink with a drug during a day trip to a theme park.

Michael Andresen, 36, of Barry, took the 12-year-old girl to Thorpe Park in Surrey and put Rohypnol in her drink.

A 45-year-old Waynesboro man will go to trial and face a possible life sentence on a child rape charge.

David Harrison Cave is accused of raping a 12-year-old girl last fall. Police say the alleged crime took place at the victim’s home in the northwest part of the city. Cave turned himself in soon after.

LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WISH) – Police in Logansport have arrested a person of interest as they investigate the rape of a four-year-old girl. However, the arrest is on an unrelated charge.

Officers arrested Robert Ackley for failure to register as a sex offender in Logansport, Cass County. Ackley is registered offender in St. Joe County. The 39-year-old was charged with child molesting in 1995. Ackley now faces a charge of failure to register as a sex offender which is a Class D Felony and carries a minimum sentence of 6 months.

MORGANTON, NC (WBTV) – A Morganton man has been charged for allegedly causing traumatic injuries to his daughter because he was “stressed” about upcoming court cases, sheriff’s investigators say.

According to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office, Cody Garret Chadwell, 23, beat the 23-month-old girl so hard last week that she suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
