PAINESVILLE, Ohio — A Madison Township man was sentenced to 15 years in prison Thursday, for abusing some of his children and holding them against their will. Jeffrey York, 47, pleaded guilty in October to charges of gross sexual imposition and child endangering. Lake County prosecutors say some of the seven children in York’s home lived in fear of his violent brand of discipline, and on some occasions, his acts of molestation.

THE bodies of a missing boy and two adult females were found in Knox County, Ohio, today.
Tina Hermann, 32, her son Kody Maynard, 11, and family friend Stephanie Sprang, 41, have been missing since November 10, Fox News Channel said. Their bodies were found in the northwest part of Knox County, WCMH-TV reported.

MORE THAN 2/3rds ( two-thirds) of survivors of childhood sexual abuse, who sought help from the Rape Crisis Network Ireland (RCNI) last year, had been abused by more than one perpetrator, new figures show. The finding was described as “shocking and astounding” by Fiona Neary, RCNI director. Speaking at the publication of the network’s annual statistics yesterday, she said it was the first time they had gathered such detailed data. The 13 rape crisis centres provided 16,549 hours of counselling and support last year to 1,588 people. They also provided 795 hours of accompaniment for survivors going to gardaí, medical examinations and courts. Some 60.7 (963) per cent of those helped last year had been abused as children, while 30.4 per cent (482) had suffered abuse as adults only, while 141 had been abused as child and adult.

A Hamilton man already facing 61 sexual offence charges involving children under 16 now has 49 more charges against him. Gerald Graham Garrity, 54, has now been charged with a total of 110 offences involving seven victims in the same Hamilton family. The alleged victims ranged in age from three to just under 16 years at the time of the offences.

Detective Helena Russell of the Hamilton police sexual assault unit said the additional 49 charges – including communicating for prostitution, sexual assault, sexual exploitation and at least one child pornography charge – were laid Monday night.

Houston, TX – Police say 21-year-old Michael Snowden was hanging out at the Freed-Montrose library on Friday, surfin’ the net for porn. While the library does have filters in place, officials believe Snowden managed to thwart ‘em. Also at the library, a man and his two sons, ages 6 and 9. The man sent his sons into the restroom to change clothes for a swimming lesson and waited right outside the door for them. As the younger boy was undressing inside the stall, police say Snowden slithered under the door and sexually assaulted the kid.

Boston, MA – A Boston preschool teacher hit the crack jackpot on Monday after one of her young charges complained that her toddler-sized Nike Air Jordans were too tight. Bending down to remove and adjust the tiny pink tennie, the teacher was rather shocked to find 17 individually wrapped bags of crack inside a larger plastic bag. Teachers later told police the 3-year-old child believed her mother had placed the “candy” in her shoe. “Where’s my shoe?” the child reportedly asked teachers. “Mommy’s going to be mad at me.”

CLEVELAND —A Cleveland childhood obesity expert is weighing-in on a controversial letter sent home with overweight students at some Arizona schools. Deborah Delabruere’s 11-year-old daughter was one of the children who was forced to bring the letter home, informing her parents she is obese. “She was just humiliated and dejected when she came home,” Delabruere said to Fox affiliate KSAZ in Phoenix. “They didn’t mail it home they didn’t even bother putting it in an envelope stapled with a cover letter for her and all her friends to see.”

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) – A man is charged with child endangerment after police say he threw his child at a woman during a fight. Eric Davis, 40, was arrested on Saturday after the incident in the 500 block of Wade Street. Police said Davis was arguing with a woman when he grabbed the couple’s 6-month-old child and threw the child at her. The child was not seriously injured.

SANTA ANA – A 12-year-old boy dabbed at his eyes with tissue Tuesday as he testified about seeing his younger brother hit, starved, left home alone and forced to sleep on the floor. Gabriel Morales propped his head on his hand and told a jury about how he saw a man he called his “Dad” hitting younger brother Brandon Morales “every day” on his chest, legs, back and head during the spring of 2008. The man he pointed out as “Dad” is Alberto Solis Guzman, 29, his mother’s live-in boyfriend who is on trial for murder in the May 30, 2008 death of Brandon Morales, who was 4 when he died of massive head injuries. Deputy District Attorney Larry Yellin contends that Guzman and Gabriela Mariana Morales, the boys’ mother, are equally responsible for killing Brandon, the youngest of three children.

NOVI, Mich. (WXYZ) – Pictures of hundreds of scantily clad teenaged girls have been posted to a Facebook account without the girls’ permission and now those teens and their parents are outraged and feeling powerless. The photos were posted to an account with a username “Salem Issa.” Apparently the user took the teens’ pictures simply copying and pasting the photos directly from the girls’ own Facebook profiles. All told there are more than two hundred photos of girls in bathing suits and bikinis posted in Salem Issa’s account.

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) – While his baby son recovers in the Intensive Care Unit, a Pawtucket father Tuesday faced a judge in Providence District Court. DeAnthony Allen, 18, has been arraigned on second degree child abuse charges in connection with the Nov. 13 beating of his 4-month-old son. Last year, the mother, Stephanie Marks got a restraining order against Allen, but, said she trusted him enough to allow him to watch their two kids over the weekend. Marks tells Eyewitness News that Allen called her on Sunday and said that something was wrong. He told her that the baby, Johnnel, had fallen off the bed or that he had possibly rolled over the boy while sleeping with him.

Hernando, FL — Police say 39-year-old Cassidy McWaters showed up at the Hernando County Jail on Monday and told deputies he has been molesting an 11-year-old girl since she was 6. He admitted to authorities that he began rubbing the girl’s genitals five years ago and that he had done it frequently over the years, usually over her clothing as she slept. That act of depravity eventually led to digital penetration.

Phenix City, AL – A 5-year-old boy walked out into his backyard Monday afternoon and was subsequently mauled to death by as many as 12 dogs. I know I have a reputation of hating the pit bull breed because I seem to only post stories dealing with pits, but hey, when local news outlets start reporting on Labradors and cocker spaniels killing people, it is what it is. But in this case, the dogs that killed Cason Bryant were mixed-breed and none were pit bulls. He was at home with a babysitter when he walked out into his fenced yard where his family owned one dog.
