Police arrested a Chandler father whose 7-month-old daughter died from skull fractures and bleeding in her brain Tuesday. Details of the child’s death, revealed through court documents, show the amount of violence officers said the girl endured. Officers and fire crews responded to a call about an unresponsive infant at a home near Alma School and Fry roads about 8 a.m. Monday morning, Chandler Police Det. Frank Mendoza said. When police and fire crews arrived at the scene, they found the injured child and fire crews administered CPR. The girl was then transported to Chandler Regional Hospital, Mendoza said. The hospital determined the girl was suffering from skull fractures and bleeding in her brain and she had to be airlifted to Phoenix Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

A man wanted on charges of rape and child abuse filed against him in 2006 was captured in the Philippines and is headed back to Hampton Roads. David Wayne Greth was living in Portsmouth when the parents of two girls learned they had been abused, according to the “America’s Most Wanted” website. Police investigated, but before he could be arrested, Greth disappeared. He was featured in The Pilot’s Crime Line listings in October 2006 and on “America’s Most Wanted” in December 2006.

NEWPORT NEWS–Police have charged a man with sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl. The child’s mother called police on Sunday after she saw an assault happening, police wrote in a news release. The girl, who police believe was abused since age 5, was assaulted in a Denbigh residence and knew the man, police wrote.

VACAVILLE, CA – Police arrested a 14-year-old boy who allegedly broke into a home, sexually assaulted and stabbed a 13-year-old girl and stabbed her 18-month-old brother while they were home alone early Sunday morning. Vacaville police received a 911 call from a residence on the 1200 block of Balsam Way around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, said police spokesman Sgt. Mark Donaldson. The 13-year-old girl told police she and her younger brother had been stabbed. She fled her house to call for help from a neighbor’s house.

COLUMBIA, SC – Just when I thought our ‘incest’ tag was being neglected, a political science professor at Columbia University was charged with incest after being accused of having a consensual, three-year sexual relationship with his daughter. David Epstein, 46, was allegedly giving his 24-year-old daughter a bit of hot beef injection between 2006 and 2009. It is also being reported that the pair exchanged some twisted text messages back and forth. University spokesman Robert Hornsby said that Epstein “is now on administrative leave and will not be teaching students.”

Germany – I rarely have time to post foreign crimes as I like to focus on the ones in the US first — and God knows there is no shortage — but there was no way I could let this one pass by. A German father has been arrested and charged with castrating the man dating his teenage daughter. Helmut Seifert, 47, was not real happy when he found out that his 17-year-old daughter was dating 57-year-old Phillip Genscher. So he went to Genscher’s home and with the help of two of his co-workers, forced Genscher to take off his pants and then removed his manjigglies with the aid of a bread knife. “Genscher was fully conscious,” the London’s Telegraph reports.

MAGNOLIA, TX — A 3-month-old girl was found hanging upside down in her car seat after being involved in a police chase that left the driver of the car dead, Texas police said Monday. Officers with the Magnolia Police Department said they pulled over a 2004 Chevy Impala Sunday afternoon just outside Houston, in search of a robbery suspect. After they pulled the driver from the vehicle, the passenger locked the doors and sped off, said the Texas Department of Public Safety. Officers said they followed the car in a high-speed chase that went through a construction zone.

While this story is fictional in situations, it is based upon abuse that occurs every day, and all over our country. The foster homes are meant to be a placement of safety for children removed from their family homes due to abuse or neglect, and when other abuse occurs, statistically worse than before their removal, something is wrong. Foster children are more likely to be abused than children in their natural homes. We should give those children a voice through this story, if they are not heard, then tragedies will continue to be needlessly endured.

NEWPORT NEWS —Newport News police need your help to find a man suspected of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl. The Newport News Police Department’s Cyber Crime Unit has obtained arrest warrants for Jose Rodriguez-Hernandez, 22, charging forcible sodomy, production of child pornography and taking indecent liberties with a child. Police say Hernandez sexually assaulted the girl and showed the acts on the internet.

ADRIAN, Mich. —A Rome Township grandfather was ordered to spend up to 10 years in prison when he was sentenced Friday in Lenawee County Circuit Court for sexually abusing a 3-year-old girl during June at his home. Terry William Sanders, 57, was taken into custody for the first time since the start of his prosecution. He was driven Friday to a prison facility in Jackson. Judge Timothy P. Pickard exceeded state sentencing guidelines in ordering 80 months to 10 years in prison, the maximum allowed under the assault charge he pleaded guilty to on Oct. 27.

Their brothers began molesting them before the girls reached Kindergarten. When their mother found out, she did little to nothing. When their father found out, he raped them too. The police who rescued them say somebody should have called 911 immediately, once relatives and friends knew. But it didn’t happen like that. When the cops finally showed up, the twins lied to protect the rapists.

An investigation by an independent Dutch body finds a sharp increase in Catholic Church abuse cases as 2,000 people have filed complaints this past year. The Deetman Commission was set up at the request of Dutch Catholics Bishops Conference In March 2010 to investigate alleged abuses. They have now received about 2,000 complaints against the church in the Netherlands, The Huffington Post reported. The head of the inquiry, Wim Deetman, said that previously, between 1995 and 2009, an average of 20 people per year filed formal complaints against the church. Most of the reported child abuse took place decades ago in the Catholic Church school system, the state-funded BBC said.

A Scout troop leader was facing jail after admitting possessing sadistic sex images that showed youngsters bound and gagged. Ryan Jameson had 25 level five images – depicting the very worst forms of child abuse. The 21-year-old has been suspended by the Scout Association while his case goes before the court. He also admitted assaulting three children when he appeared before Ipswich Crown Court. Judge David Goodin warned the young man that he could be jailed when he is sentenced next month. ‘You are in some trouble now. It’s right that all sentencing options be explored – all of them – including any intervention that might assist you in removing this unpleasantness from your life,’ he said.
