A PAEDOPHILE was yesterday jailed for 15 years for what a judge described as the “systematic and persistent” abuse of a schoolgirl. Mark Goring still disputes the findings of a jury and plans to appeal against his convictions, which followed a crown court trial last month. The jury found the 40-year-old guilty of 12 specimen charges of child abuse, including rape and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. Once he realised his victim was not going to report him to police, Goring’s attacks escalated to rape. Judge Howard Crowson told him: “You preyed upon her innocence. These offences had become near routine.”

Mother Accused Of Stabbing 4-YO Daughter To Death

A woman has been arrested and detained in a secure mental unit after a four-year-old girl was stabbed to death, Scotland Yard said. Officers found the child’s body inside a flat on the Chatsworth Estate in Clapton, east London, on Thursday. A 36-year-old woman, believed to be girl’s mother, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. She has since been sectioned under the Mental Health Act and remains in a secure unit. Police were called to reports of a stabbing shortly after 3pm. An ambulance was sent to the flat, but the girl was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said next of kin have been informed, but are awaiting formal identification.

A man who seriously injured a 6-week-old girl when he shook her was arrested Thursday and charged with aggravated child abuse, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said. Robbie Lee Hatcher, 38, of Palm Harbor, was arrested after an investigation that began Monday afternoon. Hatcher called police Monday afternoon to report an incident involving an unresponsive baby. The incident happened at his home, and the baby girl was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, the sheriff’s office said.

Adults Facing 36-Counts Of Severe Child Abuse

Two adults have appeared in the Waitakere District Court today on significant charges involving serious child injury and abuse. The two offenders entered no plea to a total of 36 separate charges. Interim name suppression has been given to the two accused, in order to protect the identity of the nine- and seven-year-old victims, and their three siblings. All the children have been placed in the care of CYFS. Police said the nine-year-old victim is receiving ongoing psychological and other specialist treatment. They said she is likely to require regular counselling for the rest of her life. The other children will also require significant counselling.

Authorities Horrified By Extent of Abused 9-YO Child

Social workers said in court documents the nine-year-old had been abused so badly that almost every part of her body was covered in injuries, including part of her scalp torn off her head as she was dragged down the hall, the New Zealand Herald reported. She was found by police last month after they were called to her home for what is believed to have been a domestic dispute. At hospital she was found to be starving, dehydrated and anaemic from internal bleeding. She had a broken bone in her foot and extensive bruising all over her body.

FORT WALTON BEACH — Nearly five months after a Shalimar woman gave birth on the side of a road, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has charged her with aggravated child abuse and drug possession. Krystel Lynn Marie Corkins, 26, who was in the county jail on other charges, was charged Dec. 2 with the two felonies. Corkins is accused of injecting herself once a day with crack cocaine for two weeks before giving birth to a baby girl July 11. The 4-pound, 6-ounce baby was born with cocaine in her system and withdrawal symptoms, according to an offense report from the Sheriff’s Office.

VERO BEACH, Fla. — Police in Vero Beach said a 23-year-old man was arrested and charged with capital sexual battery in connection with an assault on an 11-week-old infant. Police said Jermaine Williams, of Vero Beach, sexually assaulted the child while it was in his care. The child suffered multiple injuries, including a collapsed lung and fractured ribs.

Spring, Texas – Angelic Gibson, a 32-year-old Texas woman was jailed Tuesday after she abandoned four children in a home slathered with human feces and then refused to come back when she learned police were feeding her starved children. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called when Gibson’s 7-year-old son wandered over to a neighbor’s home and begged for something to eat. The boy explained that he and his younger three siblings had been home alone for some time and had nothing to eat.

HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – A mother in North Carolina has found herself in a lot of trouble after being accused of forcing her young children to ingest drugs. Police say 31-year-old Tracy Leigh Delozier forced her two children, ages 2 and 9, to ingest cocaine, marijuana and other narcotics. She has been arrested and charged with one count of felony child abuse and two counts of misdemeanor child abuse. After the arrest and subsequent investigation, Delozier was also charged with possession with intent to sell marijuana, possession of marijuana and maintaining a home to keep or sell controlled substances.

IRVINE ( KTLA) — A seven year-old called police to her parents’ home as she reportedly witnessed her father attempting to strangle her mother. Gregory Scott Turner remains at large after his daughter called police to their Verano Place home on Wednesday at U.C. Irvine. It was the second time in week that police had been summoned to the Turner home on a report of domestic violence, university spokesman Tom Vasich said Thursday. Turner was arrested on Dec. 9 after a physical altercation with his wife.

Teacher Arrested For Molestation

CORONA ( KTLA) — A Riverside County high school teacher was arrested Thursday for allegedly molesting a child. Stephen Wolford, 48, was taken into custody at his home on suspicion of lewd acts with a child under 16. Investigators at the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s station received a report of possible child molestation in June and conducted an investigation. The district attorney’s office reviewed the case and issued an arrest warrant.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Doctors said it was the worst case of child abuse they have ever seen. A 4-year-old boy was critically injured, and police said the abuse came at the hand of his mother’s boyfriend. James Hack was rushed to Kosair Children’s Hospital on Wednesday afternoon with critical injuries. Louisville Metro police said his mother’s boyfriend, Johnny Juliot, was responsible. Juliot is now charged with criminal abuse and tampering with physical evidence. Hack suffered skull fractures and bruise s to the scrotum, back, buttocks, face and neck.

ICAC Busts Pastor For 100+ Child Porn Images

CLEVELAND —Rev. Dr. Mark Griggs, pastor of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Olmsted Falls, has been charged with trading in child pornography. Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason announced that Griggs, 48, faces 112 counts that include downloading, trading and possessing child pornography. Griggs is one of 27 adults, along with three juveniles, charged in a six month investigation called “Operation Lake Effect.” The investigation has been conducted by the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
