A news conference was held Friday to release additional information. Police arrested 30-year-old Joshua Carrier on May 11 on charges of Sexual Exploitation of a Child, a class 4 felony. At that time investigators had information that suggested Carrier’s actions were limited to the purchases of commercial child pornography photos.

FULLERTON – A 19-year-old Riverside man was convicted Tuesday of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old boy with a toy light saber while other children watched after the child’s mother dropped him off with a baby sitter. Javier Enrique Perez now faces a potential 30-years-to-life term in state prison at his sentencing July 22 by Superior Court Judge James Rogan in the North Justice Center. Perez could also be required to register as a sex offender for life.

CONCORD, MA — A Texas woman has reportedly confessed to the death of a young boy found dumped on a dirt road in Maine over the weekend, authorities said. Julianne McCrery admitted leaving her 6-year-old son Camden Pierce Hughes under a blanket on a deserted road in South Berwick near the New Hampshire border. McCrery told police she accidentally gave her son too much cough syrup and he died.

RIVERSIDE — Court documents reveal in chilling detail a 10-year old boy’s account of how he shot and killed his neo-Nazi father as he slept in bed. The documents outline the boy’s confession to police after the May 1 killing. Authorities say the boy recounted that he was tired of his father, Jeffrey R. Hall, beating him and his stepmother.

Washington: University of Toronto researchers have found that childhood physical abuse is associated with significantly elevated rates of functional somatic syndromes such as chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia and multiple chemical sensitivities among women. “Women who reported they had been physically abused as children have twice the odds of chronic fatigue syndrome and multiple chemical sensitivities, and 65 per cent higher odds of fibromyalgia” said lead investigator Professor Esme Fuller-Thomson, who holds the Sandra Rotman Chair at U of T’s Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work and Department of Family and Community Medicine.
