SANTA PAULA, CA– Police have arrested have arrested eight people in connection with the gang rapes of two girls they lured from social networking sites. Seven suspects were arrested without incident Friday in Santa Paula and Ventura, according to Santa Paula Police Department officials. An eighth suspect was arrested Sunday.

Children are suffering from a hidden epidemic of child abuse and neglect. Over 3 million reports of child abuse are made every year in the United States; however, those reports can include multiple children. In 2007, approximately 5.8 million children were involved in an estimated 3.2 million child abuse reports and allegations.

Oklahoma City police have arrested a man on complaints of murder and child abuse in the death of his 5-year-old daughter, Serenity Deal. Sean Devon Brooks, 31, of Oklahoma City, was being held without bail Monday in the Oklahoma County jail, officials said. He has not been charged.

A 24-year-old Allentown man has been charged with attempted homicide after he severely beat a 2-year-old girl for three months this year, causing a skull fracture and bruising to her eyes and body, according to court records. Brandon Bishop, of 2928 Fernor St., admitted to an Allentown detective that he punched and kicked the 2-year-old girl, choked her, picked her up by the hair and then dropped her onto the concrete floor and hit her over the head with a metal spoon, according to court records.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — As lawyers debate whether a 12-year-old charged with killing his toddler brother should be prosecuted as an adult, Channel 4 has learned about the troubled life of the boy and his mother, who give birth to the boy when she was only 12.According to police documents, 2-year-old David Galarriago was beaten on March 14 by his half-brother, Cristian Fernandez. He died a few days later at a hospital. The 12-year-old was indicted Thursday on a charge of first-degree murder and was moved from juvenile detention to the Duval County jail.

KANSAS CITY— A Kansas City man is facing his second sex crime charge in less than a month. Police suspect 26-year-old Mark Thomas sodomized a four-year-old girl in a hotel room. In court documents, Thomas told police he was just a “bad tickler” and that his finger slipped.

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — A mother accused of trying to kill her children and herself has been charged with two counts of attempted murder.Tourists witnessed the incident in Biscayne Bay just after 6 p.m. Thursday. Miami Beach police said Shirley Jean, 27, drove her car into the water near the Julia Tuttle Causeway.

DENVER — An 8-year-old Denver girl who was kidnapped for roughly an hour-and-a-half on Thursday was sexually assaulted by her abductor, Denver Police revealed on Friday. Police say the suspect grabbed the girl from an alley in the 400 block of S. Raleigh St. about 1:20 p.m. Thursday. The girl and her friend, Eric Martinez, 11, had gone into the alley to catch the family’s Chihuahua, J-Lo, who had escaped from the yard, when a man in a white van approached them.

LOS ANGELES– Police are asking the public for help in finding a 13-month-old boy believed to have been taken by his mother. Bryan Bazan was taken from his father on June 1 around 7 p.m. while his mother, 19-year-old Wendy Cervantes was visiting him, officials said. His father, Elim Bazan, has sole custody of the child and allowed the visitation on the understanding that Cervantes, who lives in the Van Nuys area, would return the boy by 6 a.m. Saturday.

SAN JACINTO — Police are investigating the death of a baby boy after he was surrendered by his parents at a Riverside fire station. The parents dropped the 2-month-old boy off at Station 78 on the 2000 block of Cottonwood Street in San Jacinto around 4 a.m. Sunday.

LOS ANGELES — The two-page letter landed in the judge’s chambers at the Los Angeles County Children’s Court last fall, registering “grave concern” for the well-being of 17-month-old Vyctorya Sandoval. Linda Kontis, co-founder of a foster family agency that contracted with the county to provide care to the girl, complained that the court system hadn’t properly considered the risks of returning the saucer-eyed toddler known as Tori to her long-troubled biological parents.

Why would Facebook allow such trash and promotion of such violent abuse against babies? Why would 16,000+ people join such a page? If you take a moment to look at the comments left on the page, you will see a SERIOUS problem–this needs to be investigated. Facebook needs to censor & monitor these types of violent pages.
