LINCOLN, Del.- Delaware State Police have arrested a registered sex offender accused of raping two young girls he was supposed to be watching. Stanley O. Taylor, 55, of Lincoln, was taken into custody Sunday, June 5, and charged with four counts of second-degree rape, one count of first-degree attempted rape, one count of sex offender-unlawful sexual conduct, two counts of sexual exploitation of a child- photograph/film in sexual act and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Former Patrick Henry Middle School special education teacher Nicolas Lee Jastorff, 26, was sentenced Tuesday to 45 years in the South Dakota State Penitentiary for multiple charges of rape in the fourth degree and solicitation of a minor involving two 13-year-old girls.

COLUMBUS, OH — The Ohio Supreme Court ruled that sexual activity between two children under the age of 13 without force or impairment cannot be defined as rape. In August 2007, a 12-year-old boy was accused of engaging in sexual acts with an 11-year-old boy in Licking County. A young witness said the older, taller boy would bribe the younger one with video games, but the conduct did not occur until the 11-year-old consented, according to the case background.

A Checotah elementary teacher faces additional sex-related charges after investigators turned up evidence showing there may be other victims. Authorities say Michelle McCutchan, 38, engaged in sexual relations with at least three teenage boys, two of them students. McIntosh County Assistant District Attorney Crieg Rittenhouse charged McCutchan with nine counts each of second-degree rape and sodomy as a result of the teacher’s alleged involvement with the students.

A male nursery worker has admitted raping a toddler in his care and to grooming more than 20 other girls online. Paul Anthony Wilson (20) pleaded guilty at Birmingham Crown Court today to two counts of the oral rape of a girl aged two or three at the nursery where he worked. Wilson, from the Nechells area of Birmingham, also admitted a further 45 charges of making and distributing indecent images and inciting youngsters to engage in sexual activity on the internet.

A Kearns man has pleaded guilty to a reduced count of child abuse homicide in the death of his 4-year-old daughter. Clinton Joseph Hart, 22, pleaded guilty Monday in 3rd District Court to one count of child abuse homicide, a third-degree felony, and two counts of second-degree felony child abuse in connection with the June 2010 death of Vanessa Hart.

MANITOWOC — A 37-year-old Manitowoc man, charged with felony child abuse and felony bail jumping, made his initial appearance in front of Judge Jerome Fox in Manitowoc County Circuit Court on Monday. Lyle C. Roeder, 411 N. 10th St., was released from Manitowoc County Jail on $1,000 bail with the condition that he have no contact with the victim.

STANFORD, Calif. — New research has shown that children’s risk for learning and behavior problems and obesity rises in correlation to their level of trauma exposure, says the psychiatrist at the Stanford University School of Medicine and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital who oversaw the study. The findings could encourage physicians to consider diagnosing post-traumatic stress disorder rather than attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, which has similar symptoms to PTSD but very different treatment.

BALTIMORE- Federal prosecutors say a previously convicted sex offender was sentenced to 15 years in prison Wednesday for possession of child pornography. After serving his prison sentence, 29-year-old Shane Edward Stoner of Cambridge will be required to be supervised for life. He will also be required to register as a sex offender in the place where he resides, where he is an employee, and where he is a student, under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.

Police arrested 27-year-old Crystal Carimbocas on charges of child abuse Friday after forensic interviews indicated that she allegedly covered up information about her daughter’s abuse and slaying, court documents state. Carimbocas’ fiance, 21-year-old Jose Gonzalez-Dominguez, was arrested May 16 on suspicion of beating Carimbocas’ 4-year-old daughter, Anays, who was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital. The medical examiners office ruled blunt-force trauma to the head and body as the causes of Anays’ death.

HARTLAND TOWNSHIP, Michigan – Tranquil, private Dunham Lake in Hartland Township (Livingston County) became the scene of a crime Saturday when two thirteen-year-old Girl Scouts were fondled by a man who swam up to their floating platform. The girls say the suspect was with a female companion and, after making small talk, grabbed one girl’s breast and her friend’s buttocks.

Oak Harbor, WA – Ryan Stephenson, a 26-year-old Washington man was jailed after he allegedly raped a toddler girl so severely, she had to undergo reconstructive surgery. According to police, Stephenson was babysitting his 5-year-old son and his ex-girlfriend’s 20-month-old daughter when he brutally raped the toddler girl. During the alleged rape, the girl’s vagina was mutilated to a point where reconstructive surgery was required to minimize the damage.

PASADENA, CA– An instructor at a youth boot camp is accused of kidnapping, false imprisonment and extortion in the alleged abduction of a truant teenager. According to police, Kelvin ?Sarge? McFarland handcuffed the teen, then took the boy to a family member?s home demanding money before releasing him. McFarland is also accused of trying to persuade the family to enroll the 14-year-old in his boot camp, ?Family 1st Growth Camp.?
