According to court documents, between September 3 and October 27, Ambreatte Daniels was aware her husband, Corey Daniels was physically abusing his stepdaughter. Court records show the pair even discussed the abuse in several text message conversations.

BELLEVUE — Sources tell KOMO News the FBI has joined the search for 2-year-old Sky Metalwala, who vanished after he was left alone in a car in Bellevue on Sunday morning. The boy’s mother told police she ran out of gas in the 2400 block of 112th Avenue Northeast and left the boy alone inside the unlocked car while she her 4-year-old daughter went to get gas. When she returned an hour later just before 10 a.m., Sky was gone.

Two Penn State officials surrendered Monday on charges that they failed to report suspected child-sexual abuse by a former coach and committed perjury in their related grand jury testimony. Senior Vice President Gary Schultz and Athletic Director Tim Curley both stepped down from their posts late Sunday, one day after the charges were announced.
They are accused of failing to alert police to complaints that former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky had sexually abused boys.

Syracuse, N.Y. – Marcell Washington, a 25-year-old Syracuse man has been jailed after he admitted to drowned his 3-year-old son in a bath tub for no apparent reason. According to Syracuse Police, Washington drowned his toddler son in the bath tub Saturday night, then placed his body into bed and left the residence for a friend’s house.

The only reliable way to rapidly locate someone who has wandered is with the assistance of E-9-1-1 and law enforcement. Historically, law enforcement has incurred high expense to find a missing person and with the limited capabilities of existing technology. Wandering cases cost an average of $15,000 per search and traditionally require large numbers of law enforcement officials to physically span a wide geographic area in a race against the clock.

Kelli O’Laughlin, a freshman at Lyons Township High School, was discovered by her mother at their Indian Head Park home on Oct. 27. She had been stabbed multiple times. John L. Wilson Jr., 38, a parolee with three prior convictions including one for armed robbery, was charged with first-degree murder and residential burglary in her death. Friday’s bond hearing came as O’Laughlin was laid to rest, La Grange Patch reports. Wilson’s DNA matched evidence found on a knit cap left behind in the O’Laughlin home, which was spattered with Kelli’s blood.

Reading, PA – Kiara Estright, a 19-year-old Pennsylvania woman was jailed Tuesday after she allegedly admitted to repeatedly breaking her baby’s bones as a form of punishment. According to police, an investigation was launched Oct. 25 after Estright’s 21-month-old child was admitted into Reading Hospital with a broken arm.
