A mother who claims she does not remember abandoning her two young sons at a gas station said her son later told her ‘Mommy you lost me’. Sarah Hatfield disappeared for 12 hours after leaving her children aged two and four in her van in Colorado along with her car keys, purse and mobile on Saturday. The 26-year-old of Thornton, was found disoriented near the National Jewish Hospital 12 miles away.

A Clovis teacher used his darkened, empty classroom to take video of a blindfolded second-grade girl giving him oral sex in what he called “the lollipop game,” a federal investigator says. The disturbing accounts and videos, dating as far back as Jan. 3, came to light after the victim’s mother became suspicious because she could not see her daughter outside with the rest of her class in physical education at Freedom Elementary School last Thursday. The girl’s teacher, Neng Yang, 43, also was not with his class.

TARRANT COUNTY, Texas – City of Fort Worth officials are delaying the decision to put down four dogs that attacked a toddler in a back yard near Lake Worth yesterday until they can figure out exactly who owns the animals. The announcement seemingly reverses the statement made earlier Tuesday by Fort Worth Code Compliance, which said the dogs would be put down. Monday afternoon, 18-month-old Chance Walker, Jr., was severely bitten when he crawled through a doggie door at his family’s home and into the back yard where four Boxer dogs attacked him.

SOUTH LOS ANGELES — The longtime L.A. Unified School District teacher accused of gagging and blindfolding students, putting cockroaches on their faces and feeding them semen was investigated for allegedly fondling a girl in 1994, but no charges were filed, authorities said. In January 1994, officials reported “an attempted fondling” at Miramonte Elementary School, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Dan Scott told the L.A. Times.

OLYMPIA—Should adults face jail time if they fail to report child abuse? Some state lawmakers think so, and want to make it a crime if people see it happening and don’t report it. They’re calling one of these proposals the Jerry Sandusky bill, named after the former Penn State assistant football coach accused of sexually abusing children on campus.

HAYWARD—Investigators in Hayward believe a nine-year-old girl missing since 1988 could be linked to the “Speed Freak Killers”, Wesley Shermantine and Loren Herzog.Hayward Police are now conducting an investigation in San Joaquin County in conjunction with the current search and investigation going on for other victims of Shermantine and Herzog. Shermantine has repeatedly reached out to law enforcement offering information about his and Herzog’s victims.

The mother of a five-year-old girl could be facing murder charges after the child was found dead in her home with cuts and bruises from her head to her feet. Candy Flores was pronounced dead when paramedics arrived at her tiny southwest Houston apartment complex, where she lived with 14 others. Her mother, Rosa Gonzalez, 41, told police she sustained the injuries while falling off the toilet. Someone in the home called 911 and officers found the five-year-old on the floor of the only bedroom in the house. She had a contusion on her face and a cut on her nose. Paramedics tried to revive her but to no avail.

A student website has sparked outrage with an article declaring rape was fine as long as the attacker said “surprise”. The insulting feature on UniLad said the fact that only 15 per cent of rapes are reported was “good odds”. The article ended with the words: “UniLad does not condone rape without saying ‘surprise’.” The site, run by Plymouth University web design student Jamie Street and editor-in-chief Alex Partridge, also sold merchandise bearing the slogan “keep calm – it won’t take long”, gave advice on “how to pull a fresher” and featured other material too offensive to publish.

A mother-of-two has been arrested after her 16-month-old daughter was so badly scalded in the bath that the ‘skin fell off her legs’. Danielle Connor, 23, who said she left the toddler unattended in the water for around 10 minutes, is now facing charges of child neglect. The girl was rushed to hospital suffering from second and third-degree burns on 30 per cent of her body from the waist down. She is currently listed in a serious condition. Connor of Washington County, Oklahoma, told police she had placed the toddler and her other three-year-old daughter in the bathtub at their home on Sunday night, reports NewsOk.com.

This video was taken by a 17-year old teen who is legally this little boy’s “uncle.” He took the video knowingly to give to Child Protective Services so they could start an investigation on the abuse he says is continual against his nephew. Shockingly, CPS stated that the incident in this video is NOT child abuse due to the mother not hitting the child with a “closed fist.” The uncle then uploaded the video to YouTube out of desperation to plead to the public for their help. A North Miami Beach couple severely beat their 9-year-old son, who was found so starved that he weighed just 35 pounds, police said. Marsee Strong, 34, and Edward Bailey, 40, appeared in court today, charged with aggravated abuse and neglect of a child. They were arrested Saturday night on charges of aggravated child abuse.

In the last three years, 23 teachers, coaches and school officials in North Jersey have been arrested or pleaded guilty to sex-related charges involving children. Statewide, nearly a dozen teachers or coaches have made headlines since the beginning of December, accused of everything from videotaping boys showering in a school locker room to having sex with teens they were chaperoning on a field trip.
