A Michigan boy died Friday after an argument with his grandmother. Jonathan Hoffman, 17, was shot to death by his 74 year old grandmother multiple times Friday night after an apparently heated argument that escalated to violence.

A man and a woman have been charged with murder over the death of a newborn girl whose body was found in a washing machine on Australia Day. Detectives from the North Brisbane Child Protection and Investigation Unit charged the pair late last night. The man and woman, both aged 36, have been charged with murder and concealing the birth of a child in relation to the baby girl’s death at a Bald Hills home, in Brisbane’s north, on January 26.

GENESEE COUNTY, MI — The state House this week unanimously approved legislation that would strengthen penalties for convicted child abusers, and the measure will now go to the state Senate for its consideration. The bills are known as “Dominick’s Law,” named after 4-year-old Dominick Calhoun, who died after he was beaten in April 2010 in his Argentine Township home.

Two brothers had their childhood ‘stolen’ by their mother and stepfather who kept them locked in a bedroom for up to 23 hours a day, a court was told. The boys were shut away for weeks on end, given little food and forced to take cold showers in the garden with a hosepipe. They endured the ‘oppressive regime’ for seven years and when they were eventually rescued as teenagers, they were so malnourished that neither had gone through the normal physical changes of puberty.

A tragic woman killed herself after breaking her silence about the rapes she suffered as a child at the hands of her father. Newcastle Crown Court heard it wasn’t until 2010, that Claire Warrener felt able to report the sexual abuse. She went to the police six years after the attacks committed by her father Michael Warrener had ended. She then took her own life when she was barely into her 20s, just months after going to the authorities.

As a child, Jessica loved playing in the tent in the garden, or walking her pet dog on the beach in sight of Blackpool’s famous tower, seven miles away up the Lancashire coast. She would go back to her family’s smart home for an early supper with her father Jim, a successful property developer, mother Jennifer, and her sister Melissa, who is three years younger.

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. — Prosecutors have charged the pastor of a small southeast Missouri church with sexually assaulting three young children, and authorities say further charges are likely.Mississippi County prosecutors on Wednesday charged 36-year-old Kenneth Neal Allen with three counts of first-degree statutory sodomy and possession of child pornography. He remained without bond and without an attorney Thursday. His arraignment was scheduled for next Wednesday.

LOS ANGELES — Authorities arrested a part-time Los Angeles Unified School District teacher’s aide on suspicion of lewd acts with a child after a video of the alleged lewd acts was sent to police. Jorge Dominguez, 25, was arrested at his home on Thursday by detectives from the LAPD’s juvenile division and sexually-exploited child unit.

BANGKOK, Thailand — Six roasted fetuses covered with gold for black magic rituals were found in a Bangkok hotel room, Thai police said. Chow Hok Kuen, a 28-year-old British citizen of Taiwanese origin, faces charges of hiding and covering dead bodies and a jail term of up to a year, police said.
