River Beach, FL – Nicole McDowell, a 23-year-old Florida woman was jailed Sunday after she alleged beat a small child with a metal pole because he failed to keep track of her toddler son for her. New York Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly says Pedro Hernandez has been arrested in the killing of Etan Patz, reports the Associated Press. Hernandez confessed to strangling Etan Patz, the boy whose disappearance 33 years ago sparked the movement to put the faces of missing children on milk cartons. Hernandez told investigators he wrapped the 6-year-old’s body in a bag and put it in a box in Manhattan. But when he returned later, the box was no longer there.
