A Newcastle man who advised Governments on child protection has today been jailed for a range of child sex offenses. The former CEO of Hunter Aboriginal Children’s Services Steven Andrew Larkins, pleaded guilty to nine offences including producing and possessing child pornography, fraud and the aggravated indecent assault of two boys aged 11 and 12. The 46-year-old has worked in advisory roles on child protection issues for both the New South Wales and Federal Governments.

The wife of convicted child molester Jerry Sandusky says she still loves him and ‘he’s not who they say he is.’ ‘I love my husband,’ Dottie Sandusky told a Centre Daily Times reporter on the streets of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania on Thursday. Adding to her husband’s defence Mrs Sandusky said she’s known the man, convicted on 45 of 48 counts of child sexual abuse last month, for more than 40 years.

A 26-year-old man is accused of hitting his wife and forcing a seven-year-old boy to smoke pot at gunpoint. Justin Blake Mitchell, from McDonagh, Georgia, is being held at the Walton County Jail without bond since the July 12 incident, which took place at Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. According to arrest reports, Mitchell pointed a gun at the child and threatened to shoot him if he didn’t smoke marijuana.

Manchester, New Hampshire – Frank Saucier, a 44-year-old postal worker from Tyngsboro, Massachusetts was jailed after he allegedly sexually assaulted children in his mail truck. According to Manchester police, Saucier was first jailed on April 26th after several children told their parents that he had reportedly invited them inside his truck to “play house”, then spanked a 10-year-old boy.

Joy White and Carl Tyson didn’t see their daughter for 23 years, after Ann Pettway made the decision to dress in a nursing uniform, snatch the baby from the nursery, and then raise the girl as her own.

SANTA ANA, CA – A 48-year old college professor is accused of plotting to murder students and administrators at his son’s former high school in Irvine. Rainer Klaus Reinscheid, a professor at the UC, Irvine, is charged with setting five fires on the campus of University High School, in Mason Park Preserve, and at a school administrator?s home. The crimes allegedly began in March after Reinscheid?s 14-year-old son, who attended University High School in Irvine, was disciplined at school.

A mother of two, Amy Hu from Santa Clara, California, found an old, rusty knife in her bag of Jolly Rancher Crunch and Chew candy. The bag was completely sealed when she purchased it. According to ABC 7, she bought the candy at a local Safeway and because the manufacturer has not issued a recall, the candy is still on the shelves.

Danielle Reeves, 24, left her infant and toddler in an overfilled bathtub for 50 minutes while she was out drinking wine with neighbors, resulting in the child’s death. When she returned home from her neighbor’s house, she found her 1-year-old child lifeless in the bathtub.

UPDATE: Baby Thrown Out Window By Father Dies Of Injuries. The police arrested Frederico Bruno after he viciously stabbed his ex-girlfriend and then threw her out of a third-story window while she held their 3-month-old son in her arms. The incident occurred at 7 a.m. Friday morning. Bruno was hiding in his ex-girlfriends place, when she walked in with their boy and one of her friends. He savagely attacked and stabbed the friend, then proceeded to do the same with his ex before pushing her out the window.

Even in a country that sees 44 murders a day, this case has left the public horrified. A gang of robbers gunned down a father, raped and murdered his wife. Then, in a final act of sickening brutality, they drowned the couple’s 12-year-old son in scalding bath water. Amaro Viana was murdered to prevent him from identifying the three housebreakers who carried out the raid in suburban South Africa. The gang included the family’s gardener and the son of a domestic servant. It was claimed they were motivated by the way they had been treated by the Viana family.

MONTEREY COUNTY — An Amber Alert has been issued after authorities believe a 16-year-old girl from Northern California was abducted and may be enroute to Mexico. Eunice Serrato, 16, was last seen in San Ardo on Saturday. Sheriff’s investigators believe she was abducted by two male family members driving a blue Chevrolet Tahoe who are believed to be armed and dangerous.
