According to Pakistani police, the father of a 32-year-old woman identified as “Shagufta” confessed to murdering his daughter after she accepted a job at a beauty parlor against his wishes.

MODESTO — A registered sex offender who sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl on a transit bus Tuesday morning in Modesto was taken down by four homeless men and held until officers arrived, police said. The suspect had been paroled from prison just the day before. The assault occurred about 7:30 a.m. on a Modesto Area Express bus on Yosemite Boulevard as it was en route to downtown, police said. Witnesses said the girl was riding with two other young people and was on her way to school.

SIERRA COUNTY—A 15-year veteran of the California Highway Patrol was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of child molestation. Robert Holland, 46, is suspected of “engaging in sexual acts with a minor while off duty,” the CHP says. The CHP says they investigated Holland after the allegations were brought to their attention. Holland’s cell phone and computer were seized.

LOS ANGELES — A grieving mother says the body of a teenager found burning on a South L.A. street this week was her daughter. Police and coroner officials are not releasing the girl’s identity. But Selamawit Wright says the teenager is her daughter, Terrey. Wright says she was shown a picture of her daughter by police.

Mitch Comer, from Dallas, Georgia who weighed a mere 97 pounds when he was found at a bus depot in L.A, told police his parents had starved and locked him up for four years. Comer was found by a security guard at the depot who refused to believe the boy was 18 due to his appearance.

Fourth-grader Ally Deon, from Saugus, Massachusetts fell and broke her arm in the Veteran’s Elementary School playground, but the school nurse didn’t think her condition was serious enough to call an ambulance. The nurse instead placed a call to Ally’s mother, who arrived at the school to find her daughter screaming with her arm bent at an unnatural angle.

A father has been found guilty of killing his 15-week-old daughter while he was orally raping her. Steven Deuman Jr, 26, of Suttons Bay near Traverse City, was convicted of first-degree murder and aggravated sexual assault after jurors – who were subjected to disturbing testimony and photos – took less than an hour to convict him. In August 2011, baby Evelynne Deuman was found in the bedroom of their mobile home bleeding from the nose, unconscious and not breathing.

A mother who punched and kicked her daughter, nine, for 17 months until she eventually died has been sentenced to spend at least 15 years in prison for her death. He details how a music teacher took a student on solo trips to Europe where he repeatedly raped him, and how an art teacher would demand the boys underwent ‘physicals’ in order to assault them. A man, describing himself as a former child prostitute, claimed to have had sex with a football coach who belonged to a pedophile ring which included Jerry Sandusky. Greg Bucceroni, now 48, said he was paid for sex as a teenager by former Brooklyn Poly Prep coach Phil Foglietta in 1979. Foglietta, who is now dead, has been accused of raping and assaulting students at the New York prep school over a 20-year period. In a letter sent to authorities at Poly Prep this week, Bucceroni said he met Foglietta as a teenager through Second Mile charity in Pennsylvania.
