A man who pleaded guilty to 18 sexual offences against children has been jailed for life. Darren Mackrell, 45, of Wilton Avenue, Southampton was sentenced to an indeterminate term of imprisonment for public protection at Winchester Crown Court. He committed the crimes on 21 April 2012.

“The X Factor” U.K. judge Tulisa Contostavlos, 24, has revealed in her memoir, “Honest: My Story So Far,” that her troubled past includes being date raped and bullied. BEDFORD, PA — A traveling preacher who claimed an 11-year-old girl became “belligerent” when he refused to sleep in the same bed as her has been convicted of raping the girl at a southwestern Pennsylvania motel. A Bedford County jury convicted the Rev. Walter Bradshaw of 22 of 24 counts Thursday after the Lexington, N.C. evangelist denied the allegations, saying the now-15-year-old girl was vindictive and “could turn on you.”

STOCKTON – Four Stockton family members are accused of emotionally and physically abusing children under their care. George Orozco Sr., 59, Edith Yolanda Orozco, 50, George Orozco Jr., 21, and Sara Orozco, 18, were booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on Friday on child abuse charges against five children ranging in age from 6 to 14.

A Planned Parenthood abortion business in Ohio has been forced to settle a lawsuit from a teenager on whom it did an abortion and failed to report suspected child rape to authorities. The child abuse victim has settled with Planned Parenthood, after a lawsuit included multiple charges such as failure to report incestuous statutory rape and sexual abuse of a minor by her father. The case, Denise Fairbanks v. Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio Region et al., was filed by Denise Fairbanks in the Hamilton County Ohio Court of Common Pleas on May 7, 2007 and it named Planned Parenthood, Southwest Ohio Region, in failing to report the abuse committed by her father.

Moscow : Australia’s Roman Catholic Church has confirmed 620 children have been sexually abused by its priests since the 1930s in the state of Victoria. Campaigners, however, put the figure at 10,000 between 1960s to the 1980s only. The Catholic Church of Victoria’s admission came in a submission to a state parliamentary inquiry into the handling of child abuse cases by religious and other organisations after suicides of dozens of people abused by clergy, ABC reported Sunday.

David Moore certainly wasn’t expecting a pint-sized 7-year-old girl to turn into a crime-fighting hero. On July 27 this year, A-nari Taylor was playing with her cousin, 4-year-old Brandon Mincey, outside an apartment complex in Miami when Moore walked up to the pair and screamed: “God told me to take him (Brandon), God told me he’s coming with me,” according to NBC News.

In Fort Worth, Texas, 30 year old Nathan Tatarko, an Afghan and Iraqi combat veteran, raped a 14 year old girl, and forced her into stripping and prostitution. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Tatarko offered the victim a ride while she was walking home from a shopping mall.

A crack addict mother jailed for violently beating her baby son was battered by fellow prisoners carrying out reprisals against her. Inmates at a women-only jail subjected 29-year-old Claire Biggs to a punishment beating after hurling missiles at her, a court heard. Katie Burston, 26, was among the baying mob who surrounded Miss Biggs and another unpopular prisoner as the pair cowered inside a shed being pelted with missiles.

A baby girl who beat the odds of survival after nearly being shaken to death by her father, has been released from the hospital after a month. Baby Cheyenne Rae suffered swelling and bleeding on her brain as well as a fractured skull after her father, James Davis Jr., angrily shook the little girl at the family’s home in Wellford, South Carolina on August 17. The nine-month old child has stunned doctors with her tenacity but still has a long way to go on her road to recovery.

The mother of a 13-year-old girl allegedly raped at a Tulsa mega-church is suing the church for waiting two weeks to report the allegation. The lawsuit – first reported by the Tulsa World – was filed on Friday in Tulsa County District Court and alleges that the young teen was raped in a campus stairwell of the 17,000-member Victory Christian Center by a church worker and claims the church delayed reporting the assault. The mother seeks more than $75,000 and alleges that Victory Christian Center officials tried to conceal the allegation in an effort at ‘damage control.’
