DALLAS, TX — A mother of five who plead guilty to gluing her toddler’s hands to a wall and beating her into a coma was sentenced to 99 years in prison Friday. Elizabeth Escalona, 23, pleaded guilty in July to injury to a child for brutally beating her 2-year old daughter over a potty training issue. Prosecutors say Escalona glued the little girl’s hands to a wall and then repeatedly kicked the girl in the stomach and hit her with various objects, including a jug of milk, a belt and a shoe, police records show.

STANTON, CA — Authorities released a sketch Tuesday of the man they say tried to abduct a girl who was walking her dog. The incident happened Monday around 7 p.m. on Dale Street in Stanton. The 17-year-old victim told authorities she was walking her dog when she spotted a person up ahead.

New Llano, LA – Kendall Remsing, a 35-year-old Louisiana man was jailed Wednesday on incest charges after he was shot in the face by his 15-year-old-step daughter. According to the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office, an investigation was launched in late May after police received a 911 call stating that a 15-year-old girl had shot her stepfather in the face.

HUNTSVILLE, Texas – A 10-year-old boy shot his sister and then turned the gun on himself, investigators said. Walker County sheriff’s deputies said the shooting happened on Duke Road near Highway 30 late Thursday. Detectives said Coby Tucker walked into his 15-year-old sister’s room and opened fire. Ashley Tucker was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition and was in good condition on Friday afternoon. She is a student at Huntsville High School. Detectives said Coby fatally shot himself. He was a student at Huntsville Intermediate.

Tamryn Klapheke suffered from dehydration and malnutrition and weighed only 17.5 pounds when she died.
