ROCKFORD, Ill. — A northern Illinois woman who admitted leaving a newborn daughter to freeze to death along a rural roadway in 2004 was sentenced Friday to 50 years in prison. Katie Stockton, 32, faced up to 60 years in prison for the death of the infant, who became known as Baby Crystal around the Rock River Valley after her frozen remains were found. A Texas dance and cheer coach was arrested at Dallas Airport on suspicion of child abuse before he could board a flight to Paris Tuesday. Kyle Austin Ware, 30, has been charged with three counts of continuous abuse of a child under age 14 – a felony. If convicted, he could face up to 99 years in prison. A former Church of England priest and a retired organist were found guilty today of a string of child sex abuse offences. Father Keith Wilkie Denford, 78, and Michael Mytton, 69, abused their access to young boys while they worked together at St John the Evangelist Church in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. Hove Crown Court heard how the priest had gave one of the boys alcohol and then got into a bath with him while aroused. Denford had invited the boy to stay over after he acted as a waiter for a dinner party at his house. 24-year old Ashley Delvalle of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has been arrested after posingas a nurse and assaulting children in a hospital. Ashley Delvalle brought her own child to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children before wandering off to play nurse. Police confirm that Delvalle walked in to several rooms in the hospital and informed parents that she was a nurse. A South African doctor has created a female condom that puts teeth in the fight against rape. Literally. The anti-rape condom, called “Rape-aXe,” features rows of jagged hooks designed to attach to a man’s penis during penetration. Once attached, the condom can only be removed by a doctor – hopefully when authorities can arrest him, Dr. Sonnet Ehlers, the condom’s designer, told CNN. “It hurts, he cannot pee and walk when it’s on,” she said. “If he tries to remove it, it will clasp even tighter… however, it doesn’t break the skin, and there’s no danger of fluid exposure.” READ MORE HERE

A mother who starved her teenage daughter to death after joining a ‘pro-hunger’ group has been charged with her murder. Ebony Espree Berry’s 16-year-old daughter Markea Blakely-Berry, who was mentally disabled, weighed just 43-lbs at the time of her death in Georgia in June 2012.  Berry, 38, has been charged with murder and two counts of first-degree child cruelty.
