A babysitter has been charged with murder after he allegedly slammed a toddler he was looking after into a wall. Jarrod Rudder, 24, grabbed two-year-old Michael Pulliam by the wrist and smacked the child off a wall and lamp causing multiple broken bones and a brain bleed. Man sentenced in child abuse homicide case

CEDAR CITY — Emotions ran high Tuesday in Cedar City’s 5th District Court as a Cedar City man who shook his former girlfriend’s infant child, causing fatal injuries, was sentenced to 1 to 15 years in Utah State Prison. Texas — Andrea Yates is asking for some of her freedom back.  She became infamous in 2001 after murdering her five young children. She was eventually declared guilty by insanity.  But now her doctors say she should be allowed to go to church outside the Texas mental hospital where she lives. But the court will have to decide. A priest, charged with the attempted rape of a 14-year-old boy, has said that although he let the teenager share his bed and view pornography, he had never touched him. The accuser, who is now 30, testified today that he was 14 when Reverend James Brennan, 48, sexually abused him at his apartment. Authorities charge woman with incest

A 32-year-old woman faces charges of incest and other allegations in Napa County Superior Court after she was arrested on suspicion of having sex with her 16-year-old biological son from Napa, according to court documents. Mistie Atkinson, of Nice, Lake County, was arrested on a warrant in early March in Ukiah, where police allegedly found her in a hotel room with the boy, according to court documents. READ MORE HERE

LA MIRADA, CA- Sheriff’s investigators arrested a substitute teacher Tuesday, accusing him of having a sexually-charged relationship with a 13-year-old girl over the Internet. FULLERTON, CA — A young mother accused of stabbing her newborn daughter to death plead guilty Tuesday to second degree murder. In a deal with prosecutors, Yoselin Torres Tovar, 20, plead to one felony count of second-degree murder with a sentencing enhancement. Tessa Vanvlerah, 22, allowed Kenneth Kyle, a Californian college professor, to photograph, urinate on, rape and burn her 5-month-old daughter. Virginia Beach couple found guilty in boy’s death

Christy Lamour arrived at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center early the morning of April 4, 2011, with the limp, swollen body of her 5-year-old son in the back seat. Doctors rushed outside and tried for 45 minutes to revive Christian Lamour, but were never able to restart his heart. Lamour told doctors, police detectives and social workers she thought her son had come down with the flu or a stomach virus.
