A Glimpse into the Mind of a Child Molester

Following is “Rev. Daniel Dhaene’s” Letter to the Editor submitted in response to a published Belgium article on Father’s Touch (May, 2002). The editor refused to publish his letter, however provided me with a copy at Dhaene’s request.  Reading the letter seems to give the impression that Rev. Daniel Dhaene knows me, my siblings, or that he has been an insider in our family. The last time I spoke with Dhaene was 29 years ago, prior to escaping his house at the age of fifteen. Having changed the spelling of his family name, Dhaene has moved to the Philippines for ‘reasons unknown’, where he currently resides with his fifth wife and their 3 small children, all boys under the age of 10.

A ‘pardon’ which ‘Rev. Daniel Dhaene’ refers to in his voluminous rebuttal is not uncommon in Canada. A pardon is not a judicial reversal of a conviction, nor does it exonerate an ex-convict of his crime. It does make it easier for ex-convicts to gain employment, access housing and other essential services. A pardon cannot seal Police records and can be revoked by the Canadian Government at any time.

Reproduced here is an edited version of Reverend Daniel Dhaene’s letter. I’ve taken the liberty to cut lengthy Bible verses and statements which were overly offensive to my family members. I consciously leave in self serving justifications, rationalizations, untruths and half-truths in order that you the reader may experience a rare glimpse into the mind of a serial pedophile.

The Question We Shouldn’t Ask About Rape

Whenever I hear someone state there are options for women when they are being confronted by a potential rapist, a shiver runs down the length of my spine and a knot forms in the pit of my stomach. Nevertheless, I keep an open mind. Increasing public awareness is always a good thing, no? But when I hear someone say, “Perhaps rapists will think twice if they think they’ll meet fierce resistance,” those knots burst into frayed ropes. It’s not that I disagree that fighting off would-be rapists is appropriate in some cases. I just don’t want to see one more guilt trip dumped on women who have been sexually assaulted and are made to feel that not screaming and/or not fighting is labelled “do(ing) nothing”! A brave teenage girl today told of how her father raped her in a sickening attack when she visited him for the weekend. Twisted Robert Hawksworth, 54, plied daughter Emily, then 17, with wine at his Derbyshire home before putting her to bed and then climbing in with her. Michigan State Police are searching for a suspect who, they say, attempted to kidnap a 13-year-old boy Thursday evening in Armada Township. Police say the boy was approached by a man in a 2002 or 2003 maroon Ford Taurus near North Avenue and Irwin Street. The man tried to entice the boy to get into the vehicle. Police suspect Perez of contacting underage girls on social media websites.

California — Police in Ontario are asking for help finding a man suspected of kidnapping a girl he met on the Internet. The girl, who had been reported missing earlier in the day, was found Tuesday night in the 500 block of South Palm Avenue. BOLIVAR, Missouri — A 23-year old man is behind bars accused of plotting to open fire inside a movie theater during a screening of the new “Twilight” film. Blaec Lammers of Bolivar was charged Friday with three felony counts, including making a terrorist threat and armed criminal action. Authorities in Bolivar, Mo., have charged a man they say was planning to go on a shooting spree this weekend at a movie theater screening of the new “Twilight” film.

The 20-year-old suspect, Blaec Lammers, was charged Friday morning with making a terroristic threat, armed criminal action and first-degree assault, The Springfield News-Leader reported. Rural High School Rocked After Three Students Commit Suicide Within Week Of Each Other

Multiple tragedies have rocked a small rural community. St. Clair High School mourned the loss of three high school students after each student committed suicide only weeks apart. I had to deal with such and a lot of other questions like these when the “black dog” (depression) started haunting me some years ago. It may be hard to believe that a 15-year-old boy would have to deal with something as serious as depression, but it is true for me and others like me ? people who have been victims of child abuse. Peter Ball, 80, has been arrested on suspicion of eight sex offenses against eight boys and young men in the late Eighties and Nineties

Police investigating historic child sex allegations in a scandal-hit diocese arrested a retired Church of England bishop today. Peter Ball, 80, was arrested at his home in Langport, Somerset, on suspicion of eight sex offenses against eight boys and young men aged between 12 and their early twenties in the late Eighties and Nineties, sources said. A witness has told a court how he was playing computer games in former Catholic priest David Rapson’s office at Salesian College Rupertswood in Sunbury when he was given a glass of lemonade and passed out. He claimed he woke up to find Rapson raping him. He was 12 years old. And as he ran from Rapson’s office, the priest allegedly called out for him to come back ”in a voice like the devil”. Rapson, 59, has been charged with one count of rape, five counts of indecent assault, four counts of indecently assaulting a child under 16, and one count of gross indecency from 1973 to 1990. Man groomed victim online by posing as a teenage girl 

A ‘devious’ internet paedophile has been jailed for 14 years for raping a 12 -year-old girl after grooming her on a social networking site. Father of four, Gary Cooper, 47, who called himself  ‘Chantelle’  to befriend his victim, abducted and raped her twice days after  making contact with her. The girls’ ordeal was described as wreaking ‘incalculable psychological damage’. Cooper joined the social network Tagged.com and began grooming the schoolgirl. He told her she was ‘gorgeous’ and having got her phone number claimed to be the fictitious girls’ father, confessing he found her attractive. READ MORE HERE
