Two 16-year-old girls who were ‘kidnapped’ in the middle of the night by two boys they met online have been found. Teenagers Amber Henry and Kirsten Kamradt were discovered by U.S. marshals and FBI agents after they were forced across state lines by the 19-year-old boys. The two girls, who are from Georgia, went missing from their homes early on Wednesday. Josh Powell, a person of interest in the Dec. 6, 2009 disappearance of his wife Susan, killed himself and the couple’s two young sons on Sunday in a planned, intentional explosion, police confirm Sunday. According to the The Seattle Times, a case worker delivered the boys to Powell’s house Sunday near Tacoma, Wash., when Powell pushed the worker out of the house. MILWAUKEE — About 550 people are asking for restitution for alleged sexual abuse by clergy in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee — more than in any of the other U.S. dioceses that have filed for bankruptcy protection, according to a lawyer involved in the Milwaukee case. Frantic parents of the now 15 teens who have been showcasing worrying Tourette-like symptoms are looking for answers as to what exactly is making their children sick. Over the weekend, lawyer Erin Brockivich hypothesized that environmental toxins may be to blame, though officials have reportedly stonewalled her up to this point. But now researchers are now looking into a new explanation – that infections caused by bacteria or viruses can cause also infect the brain, leading to onsets of Tourette’s and obsessive-compulsive disorder. A 61-year-old Danish man confessed to intimidating and harassing an 11-year-old girl online and trying to convince her to send him naked pictures of herself. The man, Kai Ludrstroem Pedersen, found the girl through Facebook and extorted her into make child pornography. The girl, whose name is being withheld by the courts because of her age, began talking with the man in June 2010 when she believed he was a 14-year-old boy. LOS ANGELES — A second teacher at an inner-city elementary school where a teacher is accused of committing lewd acts on 23 children was arrested Friday on suspicion of fondling two girls in his classroom. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Capt. Mike Parker said Martin B. Springer, 49, of Alhambra was arrested four days after allegations surfaced against the first teacher, but there was no known connection between the two cases. Springer was being held on $2 million bail. The expanding case has shocked the nation and thrown a chill into its second-largest school district, with 650,000 students across hundreds of campuses. The father of a three-month old who died after claims she fell off his lap twice fracturing her skull, rib, shoulder and arm while he was playing a video game has been convicted of murder. Jason Gallaway, 32, of Delaware was found guilty of first degree murder by abuse or neglect Thursday. He first reported his daughter Marissa had stopped breathing in December of 2010 at his Seaford home. A detective testifying in his trial said when he arrived at the home following the infant’s rush to a hospital Gallaway appeared distracted by a Play Station video game that had been left on pause beside him. A police community support officer who raped a 12-year-old schoolgirl was today jailed for ten years. Michael Yardley, 35, had a seven-month affair with the child before his shocked wife Stephanie caught them kissing and cuddling on the sofa in the living room of the marital home. The PCSO, employed by Lincolnshire Police, was caught out after getting up early to tell his wife he was going for a run, according to Andrew Scott, prosecuting. A mother has allegedly been caught on camera tampering with her five-month-old baby’s IV in hospital after doctors suspected child abuse. Ladonna Parlier, 26, was filmed injecting an ‘unknown substance’ into her daughter Naomi’s intravenous tube in North Carolina, according to police. The child abuse that takes place in one year in the United States will cost the nation $124 billion over the victims’ lifetimes, according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The findings reveal the financial burden of child abuse is just as high or higher than that of costly health conditions, including Type 2 diabetes. “No child should ever be the victim of abuse or neglect — nor do they have to be. Police are pressing the three adults who were home the night missing toddler Ayla Reynolds disappeared to provide a full account of what happened, after investigators confirmed blood found in the father’s home belonged to the child. State and local detectives believe Justin DiPietro, the girl’s father, and two other adults know more than they’ve told investigators so far, said Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
