Other possible warning signs include numerous lost belongings, frequent injuries or damage to clothes or property, spends time primarily with younger students, avoids recess before, during and/or after school, arrives to school late or just at the starting bell, appears to be alone most of the time at school, obtains an excessive or insufficient amount of sleep and complains of headaches, stomachaches, etc.

MORE charges were brought in the investigation into a suspected Merseyside and Manchester paedophile ring.

Bolton man John Hawley, 37, of Boundary Street, Halliwell, was charged with five counts of raping a girl younger than 13 in a joint investigation by Merseyside and Manchester Police.

MISSOULA — A 71-year-old Missoula man accused of having sex with a 4-year-old girl under his supervision has pleaded not guilty to a felony count of rape.

Albert Elmer Gaub was arraigned in District Court on Tuesday and remains at the Missoula County jail on $250,000 bail. If convicted, he faces between four and 100 years in prison.

31-year-old Toby Patrick Cundiff, of New Holland, is locked up in Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $400,000 bail for allegedly raping a 7-year-old child.

According to the East Lampeter Township Police Department, Cundiff was charged with repeatedly raping and sexually assaulting the child between June of 2005 and November of 2009.

Police officers will start posing as teenagers in new online “e-patrols” aimed at luring pedophiles.

They will also monitor suspicious behavior and financial transactions, and check the accessing of websites in an intensification of the hunt for online child predators. Hong Kong- Nearly six out of 10 Hong Kong parents use corporal punishment to discipline their children, a child welfare group said Tuesday.

Researchers for the organization Against Child Abuse said 58 per cent of parents interviewed in a survey admitted to smacking or caning their children in the past 12 months.

DELAWARE MAY EXTEND STATUE OF LIMITATIONS…

The latest attempt to extend the time frame victims have to report abuse is a direct response to the case against a Lewes pediatrician accused of sexually abusing more than 100 young patients.

Members of the State House approved HB 326 earlier this week in a 36 to 2 vote.  The measure would create a two year window for victims of child abuse at the hand of a health care provider to file civil lawsuits against the abuser.
