Couple charged in boy’s death in Utah


CARLSBAD — One little girl grew up with a part of her life that was different than other girls, although she did not know it at the time.A male relative would periodically ask her to undress and would inspect her genital area to make sure she was “clean.”
The routine did not begin to feel wrong until she got older, when the man gave her objects and he showed her how to masturbate so she would not have to go out with boys.

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA – There were four times as many child abuse and neglect deaths in Sacramento County in 2008 than 2007, according to a report prepared for the Child Abuse Prevention Council.
The numbers showed 12 children’s deaths were ruled homicides compared to three in 2007. Biological parents were responsible for most of the deaths, according to the report, and half of the victims were known to Child Protective Services.

A woman now living in Arizona alleges she was raped twice 13 years ago by a prominent member of her church at the time, the fundamentalist Trinity Baptist Church in Concord, N.H.
Tina Anderson says the rapes resulted in her becoming pregnant when she was only 15.

MEEKER, OK — A 2-year-old girl is dead after she was left inside a car for close to 7 hours Wednesday.
The girl’s mother, Sarenity Morse, says a friend was supposed to drop the young girl and two other children off at the Tender Care Daycare Wednesday morning.

Mahwah, NJ – Georgette Massi, 36, is accused of driving drunk with three children in her car. Massi had a BAC of .39 – nearly 5 times the legal limit. Jesus! The Chester County Prosecutor’s office has announced the arrest of a Kennett Square Police Officer. He has been charged with over 500 counts of sexual assault.
54-year-old Jose Manuel Santiago has been charged with rape, aggravated indencent assault, statuatory sexual assault and other first degree felonies after being investigated by the Chester County Detectives Child Abuse Unit.
In a written statement, officials say the incidents allegedly occurred with multiple victims between 1991 and 2000 involving victims as young as ten with abuse continuting into the victim’s teenage years.

The parents of an 8-year-old boy found hog-tied with duct tape and tied to a coffee table have been indicted on a series of charges.
Cuyahoga County, Ohio prosecutors say 37-year-old Andreia Huffman and her husband, 32-year-old Jason Dunikowski, are responsible for one of the worst cases of child abuse they have ever seen, Fox8News reports.

A married couple who both admitted guilt to parental incest were each sentenced today in Clark County District Court.
Judge James M. Bixler sentenced Frederick Vonseydewitz to eight to 20 years in prison and his wife, Mary Vonseydewitz, was sentenced to four to 20 years. They each had pleaded guilty to charges stemming from allegations of sexually abusing their children, a boy and a girl, when they were minors.

The INDIANA family of a 14-year-old boy allegedly abused by fellow student-athletes in a locker room and on a school bus is planning to sue an Indiana school district for $2.2 million.
The boy, who is not identified in court records because of his age, was the alleged victim of several instances of sexual abuse and harassment by varsity basketball players at Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana.
