BOSTON — Gov. Deval Patrick used his bully pulpit Thursday to call the superintendent of a Cape Cod school district and urge her to revise a new policy allowing even elementary school students to receive free condoms without the knowledge of their parents.

Syracuse, NY – After two females called 911 to report a man threatening to kill his infant son, a state trooper was dispatched to the location. As soon as they got out of their patrol car, 21-year-old Adam Theall shot his 3-month-old son, Eithen Theall. Backup arrived and tried to get Adam to drop his gun, but he aimed it at them instead. This is usually a pretty good idea if you are looking to get shot, which Adam did — about 14 to 16 times.

AMITY, Maine – Police need help locating a 1989 Ford F-150 pickup truck missing from the scene of a triple murder. Police say the bodies of a male, his 10-year-old son and another adult male were found stabbed to death in their home Wednesday night by a relative of one of the victims.

Pittsburgh – The FBI has charged 72-year-old Sherwood Stevenson with traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct after they say he molested a 6-year-old boy while in the jacuzzi of a Royal Caribbean ship. He admitted to agents that took the cruise so he could have a sexual encounter with a young boy.

North Little Rock – New charges for a North Little Rock man already in custody for taking sexually explicit photos of an underaged relative.

Police say Charles Coulter, 35, is now charged with raping the same relative, who is under ten-years-old.

William Page, a man had been charged with sexually assaulting and then abandoning his child in the frozen woods, will finally answer for his crime as he was sentenced Tuesday.

The actual case is sickening as reports state that Page became angry that his child, Nyia Page, kept taking off her diaper and as punishment he decided to rape her.  After, he brought the child to the woods of Rankin, Pennsylvania and left her to suffer even more in 7-degree weather.

A Catawba woman was sentenced to a year in prison Wednesday after pleading guilty to child abuse charges relating to her stepdaughter, officials said.

Meagan Rhea Shelley, 22, pleaded guilty Wednesday to unlawful neglect of a child in connection with a toddler who was taken to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte in March with a skull fracture and internal injuries, said 16th Circuit Asst. Solicitor Jennifer Colton.

Ian Arnold, 22, is charged with aggravated child abuse against Kamarie Bowles, who died Wednesday morning. Homicide charges are possible, pending the results of an autopsy, according to police.

Brussels – Police investigating cases of sexual abuse on minors raided Thursday the home of the former head of the Catholic Church in Belgium, Cardinal Godfried Danneels, a spokesman for the prelate said.

Danneels, 77, stepped down as Archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels and head of Belgium’s bishop conference in January, after serving in that position for 31 years.
