Women Plead Guilty to Child Abuse
DENVER – Two women have pleaded guilty in a child abuse case involving one’s 6-year-old adopted daughter. Deanna Martinez pleaded guilty Friday to child abuse resulting in serious body injury. Her girlfriend — Regina Marquez — entered the same plea earlier. Marquez is the adoptive mother of the victim. Police say the girl was kept in isolation and not fed properly for several years.
