Police check apartment after girl, 5, failed to show up for school on Thursday
A murder-suicide is suspected after a mother and her five-year-old daughter were found dead in their Brockville, Ont., apartment on Thursday. Family and neighbors have identified the mother as Monica Willemsen, 36, and the daughter as Katrina. The girl’s school called police when she was absent from class without warning on Thursday morning, Brockville police said. READ MORE HERE
