Dreamcatchers for Abused Children is pleased to announce their new Celebrity Spokeswoman, Paula Nelson.

Paula Nelson was born on October 27th, 1969 in Houston, Texas. Born into a family of music and entertainment (her father is Willie Nelson), she started playing piano and singing at the age of seven. She drew early influences from singers like Jesse Colter and Rita Coolidge, whose bluesy, supple vocal style provided one of Paula’s earliest templates as she found her own voice. Texas Monthly has called that voice “torchy,” and the Los Angeles Times praised, “There’s no missing the unforced power of Paula’s singing.” Paula and the band have been playing together since the summer of 2004, and the chemistry between the band and Paula is magic, both on stage and off the stage.

Paula’s career in the entertainment industry extends beyond music, as she has appeared as a stunt double on the Friday night television series “Friday Night Lights,” and portrayed characters in films, such as Britney, the mistress of a senator played by actor Michael Madsen, in the soon to be released “Conflict Of Interest.”

The soulful, sultry, singer/songwriter is not just the daughter of Willie Nelson, but a talented and gifted artist in her own right. Now, Paula wants to go the extra mile to help Dreamcatchers for Abused Children fulfill their mission and help protect innocent children around the globe.

**~ EMILY TORRES ~**

(Singer/Songwriter)

A Message from Emily ~ I was born on August 29, 1996. I grew up rewinding Disney movies past my bed time and falling asleep on the couch after long warm summer days. I’ve had a passion for music my entire life. I would sing the intros to my favorite Cartoon songs before school every morning. I taught myself piano at a young age when I was gifted a keyboard for Christmas. I’ve sang in church my whole life, and my world revolves around Jesus Christ. I have just recently have been giving a name for myself. My career has only just begun and I’m excited to see where God leads me. I am more then honored that God has given me an opportunity to be a spokeswomen for Dreamcatchers. I am thankful to be a role model and encourage others to be the same. My biggest goal for given such a blessing of a role is to bring awareness. Child Abuse is a very real thing. Everyone of my closest friends have experienced some form of Child Abuse growing up, and I have watched them grow into mature men and women to this day. These stories I hear and tears I see are my motivation, and I pray for each and every single victim. There is hope.

  1. Tina Says:

As long as the corruption in the family courts & so called child protection systems around the world are not severely dealt with then these industries will keep handing our children over to these abusers!

This is why there has been such a huge increase in child abuse since the 80’s.

Campaign hard to get rid of family courts & some child protection (self) services then you will be well on the way to solving this epidemic!
