U.S. Marshals Arrest Man On Federal Child Abuse Charges

U.S. Marshals arrested a Fort Yates man on Monday who has been charged in U.S. District Court of North Dakota with child abuse and assault. Waylon Jason Pumpkinseed, 29, is accused of repeatedly shaking and squeezing a 4-month-old child, with one incident resulting in the child’s hospitalization at CHI St. Alexius Medical Center. Katherine Ludewig, a special agent for the FBI, wrote that the case came to her attention on Sunday, after Pumpkinseed brought the child to the emergency room at Fort Yates Hospital. READ MORE HERE
