Three Sentenced for Death of 4-YO Landon Payne
Two of the four people accused in the 2009 death of 4-year-old Landon Payne received the maximum sentence in Kearney County District Court Tuesday. Dustin Scoville and Sharon Turnell were sentenced Tuesday to a minimum of 49 years in prison. They will be eligible for parole in 24 1/2 years. Sharon Turnell’s husband, Charles Turnell, was sentenced Tuesday to 19 to 20 years in prison. He will be eligible for parole after nine and a half years.
