Three Kids Escape Fire In Padlocked Trailer Home

Berea, SC –– Police have arrested 31-year-old Angel Gilliland and her common-law husband, 42-year-old Alberto Rodriquez-Carrera, and charged ‘em both with three counts of unlawful neglect of a child by a legal custodian after the pair left Gilliland’s three children padlocked inside a trailer home. Oh yeah, and the trailer caught on fire while the kiddos were trapped inside. According to authorities, Gilliland padlocked both the front and rear doors from the outside early Tuesday morning and left to take Rodriquez-Carrera to work. The fire, believed to have been caused by a pan left on the stove, broke out at about 9:00 a.m.
