Soldier Arrested for Child Rape

A soldier from Washington County is arrested at his base in Washington state on charges of child rape. Sgt. Joseph T. French, 27, was arrested at Joint Base Lewis-McChord last week. He was formally charged in federal court on Valentines Day. Washington State Police were alerted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, where according to federal court filings, the alleged rape was reported. The document states the girls’ mother reported the alleged crimes on Sunday February 9. The mother says French had been raping her 10-year-old daughter for 3 years with some of those incidents happening in Chipley and others at his base home in Washington State. READ MORE HERE
