School volunteer charged with molesting 6 more students — there could be more

GOLDEN GATE ESTATES — A 60-year-old elementary school volunteer who was arrested in mid-January on charges that he molested a student at Highlands Elementary School was accused Friday of sexually abusing at least six more children in Immokalee schools and in his home. Several of the children told investigators that Robert G. Alter, of the 1000 block of Port Orange Way, gave them money and candy to keep quiet.
