“ROOF-SIT” Fundraiser puts friends in high places
FORT GRATIOT, MI — With a suitcase in hand, Chuck Santoni stepped off the ladder of a fire truck Sunday and onto the roof of the Birchwood Mall.
https://hazenfoundation.org/nzvxl6d7 Santoni, the morning show host at Q Country 107, won’t leave that roof until 6 p.m. Friday — part of a weeklong fundraiser for the St. Clair County Child Abuse and Neglect Council. “It’s not bad,” Santoni said of staying on the roof, where he has a tent and a sleeping bag. “It’s such a great cause, and that kind of overshadows everything else.” Santoni, who is participating in his sixth roof sit, said it is important to help raise money for the council to help protect children.
