BURKE COUNTY, NC – A mother and father have been charged in the abuse of twin three-month-old boys in Burke County, deputies said Monday. Nicholas Brandon Clark, 20, and Brittany Nichole Hefner, 24, are both charged with felony child abuse. Officers responded to a report of an infant who wasn’t breathing at a home on Sunset Grill Street in Connelly Springs Sunday.
