The baby boy’s body was found around 7 p.m. Monday inside a wastebasket at a home in the 4500 block of Simpson Avenue, officials said. The woman gave birth last Friday, according to LAPD Lt. John Romero. Officers were called to investigate after the woman received treatment at a local hospital without a baby, Romero said.
