Mother’s Boyfriend Charged In Child’s 2011 Brutal Murder

DETROIT, MI – Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged the boyfriend of 5-year-old Mariah Smith with the 2011 murder of the young child. Smith was reported missing on July 24, 2011. DNA was later used to identify her body after it was found burned in an abandoned home in the 2900 block of Waverly in Detroit.
