ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI-FOX2now.com) – If being sold online as a prostitute isn’t troubling enough, imagine a mother’s shock to find her 14-year-old daughter being auctioned on the internet. She called investigator Chris Hayes to report — it’s not just her child. The mother is determined to do something about child sex trafficking. She found an attorney who thinks he’s found a way to squeeze the connection between young girls and men who want to abuse them.
Craigslist recently shut down its erotic ads. Now ‘johns’ can simply move to other online classifieds, like Backpage.com. That’s where a St. Louis County mother found her 14-year-old for sale after the daughter ran away from home. Mom recovered her daughter — who’s now changed forever.
