Mother Charged In Toddler’s Drowning
ENGLEWOOD – Results of an investigation into the drowning of an 11-month-old baby led to the arrest of the boy’s mom Saturday. In June, Sharon Swat, 24, told deputies she left her son in the bathtub while she put his bottle in the kitchen sink. She said when she returned to the bathroom, the tub was overflowing and the victim was face down in the water unresponsive and not breathing. The child later died at Englewood Community Hospital.
