Mother Arrested in 8-Mth Old Baby’s Death
WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Wis. (WTAQ) – Police are recommending drunken homicide charges against a 27-year-old Oshkosh area woman, after authorities found her baby in a submerged SUV. Winnebago County sheriff’s deputies said today they’ll recommend an OWI charge against Kayla Westenberger of Omro, as well as a count of homicide by intoxicated driving. Deputies were called late Saturday night to the Eureka boat landing on the Fox River in southwest Winnebago County. There, they found 8-month-old Richard Westenberger, who was in the partially-submerged SUV.
