Sad, very sad. Unfortunately I resided in Portland for 8 years. LOADED with child prostitution, strip clubs and cops driving right by 15 year old looking males and females hawking sex. A hub for old male predators too. It made me sick and Portlanders are so locktstep pc liberal you are the enemy if you speak out about it.
My guess is the paternal uncle molested the poor cchild all along and kyron began speaking out about it..Stepmother may have decided to assist in his ‘disappearnace to save face or avoid prosecution for allowing it. So tragic.. Pot, booze and all other drugs are a serious way of life out there. So glad I left.
I mean when your longtime Mayor of the 1960;s is found to be having sex nearly daily for 2 years at the Hilton down the street from city hall and the residents react as if ‘Ho hum” Wow..SO glad I left. Poor Kyron.

Geena, you have a very interesting take on Portland. I have lived here all my life and find the people here very kind and genuine. All cities the size of Portland Oregon have their share of crime and wierdos. I will agree that Oregonians are liberal, but there are also plenty of conservative, christian types here as well. To see the things you saw while you lived here, you must have lived in the hood. The Portland Metro area is huge, and not nearly as populated as most East Coast cities. We have very few “Red Light” neighborhoods comparatively…..good luck in your new surroundings.
