MI Teachers Offered Shooter Training Sessions
MICHIGAN (WXYZ) – Teachers and school staff in Oakland County will be able to attend training sessions in January and February to learn how to react in an active shooter situation. Created by Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, Sheriff Michael Bouchard and Oakland Schools Superintendent Dr. Vickie Markavitch, the five training sessions available will have experts from the Oakland County Homeland Security Division and the sheriff’s office teaching participants how to keep their schools safe.
