Man Groomed 12-YO Girl on Facebook; Picked Her Up From School

KENT — A 35-year-old man likely faces charges of kidnapping and sex abuse after he befriended a 12-year-old girl on Facebook, picked her up from school and dropped her off hours later at a friend’s house following a probable assault, sheriff’s deputies say. On Jan. 30, the suspect drove his van to Meeker Middle School in Renton and picked up the 12-year-old he had messaged over Facebook, King County sheriff’s deputies say.
