Man Faces 2nd Degree Murder Charges
Mississippi – On June 9, at 2:39 a.m. a 911 came in about a house on fire on Hwy. 370, near Brice’s Cross Road. The first Lee County Sheriff Department’s deputy arrived at 2:46 a.m. with the fire department close behind. But that proved too late for 7-year-old Savannah Floyd, who was officially pronounced dead at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital June 14. “The fire was at 500-600 degrees and that was going on the entire time this child was in there,” said Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson.
